Thanks Floyd. Just wondering what the pattern number would be for this? Farther back in this thread on page 34 posted Apr 6, 2020 is a 3 spring Keen Kutter just like mine, but with striped celluloid covers. The pattern number for that one is listed as K737 3/4. Mine does not have a number stamped on the back of any of the blades. Any Keen Kutter collectors know what the number would be? Would this one have been made by Winchester?

I think it is a 738 3/4. Sellens says that the crest shield was in the catalogs from 1924 to 1941. However, all of my Winchester made Keen Kutters have a stamped pattern number. The hand hammered pins and the absence of a pattern number leads me to believe it was an earlier knife made by Walden, and that is what I would be willing to bet on. Here is a poor resolution catalog cut from a 1917 catalog. Scans of the 1917 Keen Kutter catalog can be found in Knife Lore in the Cutlery Catalog Images thread. I think the 1917 catalog starts on page 7 of the thread.

I never quite realized how many knives my dad had until the last year or so as I have dug deeper into to try and make a better effort at selling them.

That’s one of the nicest knives have seen in some time ! Would it be called a gunstock Whittler ? There’s something about this knife that just makes me want to hold it and use it .

6 new to me Keen Kutters I picked up at the OKCA show last weekend. A couple in pretty good condition and a couple of not so much. All patterns I did not previously have in my collection. Will post individual pics when I get around to taking them.

A K26559, listed in Sellens as a Scout. It is 3 5/8".

A K6558 sowbelly stockman. It is 3 3/4"

A K 10076 quill knife. It is 3" and was a gift from Dave (knowtracks)

Those are nice examples , but not buffed. Kudos to the previous owners.
My KK farmers jack is of that sort. I was surprised the dealer wanted money!

Here are a couple more that definitely are not crow bait. It is surprising how much money some people want for some of these. Got good deals on these two. First one is 3 5/8" and the pearl is 3 1/2".
