Here is Orvar, soon 5 years old.
It’s a German breed but common here in Sweden now and it’s an excellent breed for hunting.
We use them for roedeer, fallow deer, red deer, moose and wild boars.

This is my daughter's dog. I don't have any pets. I have enough trouble taking care of myself without the added responsibility of critters.

Hey I found the coolest tree! It has these green balls growing on it and laying all around under it - It’s my new favorite tree!

Just one of the “benefits” of a having a Labrador Retriever. They constantly bring you stuff they hope you’ll throw for them to fetch. Usually it’s a stick, but just about anything they can pick up in their mouths is fair game!

And if you do throw it, they’re so happy, it makes you laugh. Good for the soul!

Now that they have found the source of those “balls” my yard is full of them. Yesterday after they went for a swim I was sitting on the porch eating lunch when they brought me another “gift” and put it in my lap. They’re waiting for me to throw it.

I'm not sure which is more appealing, their beautiful appearance or their simplicity.

The wife and I had to take care of our nieces cat last week while she and her family were away for a few days. This is Annie, and Annie is lucky to still be with us. Last winter some "animal lover" took her as a kitten out in the country and dumped her south and west of town. That particular day it was 10-15 degrees below zero and she was about 10-12 weeks old at the time. Just by luck or by toughness she managed to find her way to a rural resident that had outdoor cats and spent the night with them. Our niece adopted her from the rescue and now she has a forever home. She did not escape from this untouched, as she suffered frostbite and lost the last inch or two of her tail. If there were others in her litter that were dumped with her, they did not survive. Now she is 9 months old and has a good home. Very unique markings, that line on the face looks like it was drawn with a pencil and rule. And the short booshy tail is unique also.

Certain of God's animal creatures are intended for certain human creatures. They always seem to find each other regardless of unlikely circumstances, Or, often enough, because of those circumstances.

Interesting marking on your new cat. Coincidentally about 2 weeks ago a momma cat and one kitten showed up here. The kitten is also a calico with an unusual mark over one eye. They’re living in the shop, been feeding them and they’re still here so maybe we have cats now. The momma is real friendly but the kitten is skittish. If they stay around another week or so I’ll make a trip to the feed store for some feline vaccines.
