I like your Dark Molasses Mini-T, jerryd...especially the shield; I always like it when Case uses different shields.

Those are really nice.
I thought that I only had one 07 but pulled out my box of knives and found this 1992. Theres a receipt in the box...I bought it in December of 2000 at a Ace Hardware for $37.62.
Bought the 6109 just recently to carry..
I like the bones on bof-o'dem 07s, mikeb
You should pull out that box-o-knives more often, dude, there may be other long-lost/hidden treasures just waiting to be dug up, re-discovered and appreciated (and possibly even used!). ...and then be sure to post photos of them, cause it's only fair to share...especially with fellow knife junkies.
I would venture to say that the single-blade Wharncliffe 107W is probably my all-time top-favorite Case model.
Just something about the 6107W that really grinds all the right gears in me. I absolutely love this pattern in any/all handle varieties, especially Antique Amber Jigged Bone.
Great knives...yeah that box has about 30 something Case knives that have never been used and I forget what's in there...I am really liking this 107. Now that I realized I have 2- 6207s I feel the desire to even it up and have 2- 6107s....

Since those last two 6107Ws I posted are from 2002, they'll serve as a seamless segue into the next decade on the Mini-Trapper Timeline...
MINI TRAPPER TIMELINE
The New Millennium: 2000-2009
The transition from the 1990s to the year 2000 represented not only the beginning of a new decade but a whole new millennium as well.
I wonder how many people today still remember "Y2K," and the fear of catastrophic global computer failure that enveloped the world around this time only twenty-one years ago. Remember that? As I recall, it was feared that computers and anything that was connected to or in any way controlled by a computer would suddenly cease to function properly (or at all in some cases) immediately after final the stroke of midnight 1999 due to the way the year was programmed in fundamental computer code way back before computers became universally imbedded into every piece of technology that controlled every essential function of the modern world. Fortunately, for whatever reason, that didn't happen. The New Millennium, 2000, was entered into pretty much the same as every other year and, to the best of my knowledge, computers, cell phones, TVs, cars, traffic lights, cash registers, hospitals, missile-launchers, satellites, etc., etc., continued to function as usual and the Y2K Techno-Doomsday Armageddon that had been predicted did not in fact destroy life as we knew it on planet Earth after all. (Whew! Close call!

)
Case began the New Millennium with the release of the appropriately named "Millennium Edition" set & knives bearing the newly designed date tang stamp consisting of 5 dots and 5 "X"'s.
2000 Millennium 8207 Mother Of Pearl from the "Millennium Edition" set (s/n #155) with the special CASE-MM shield. Notice that the serial number and the date tang stamp have a long-tail "C" over "MM" (instead of the usual "XX"), and the pattern number tang stamp is on the master blade pile side (the secondary spay has no stamp at all).

No surprise here; the Mini-T Monkey virus is notoriously infectious and highly contagious. Once caught, only time will tell if it develops into full-blown OCD...but "feeling the desire to even it up and have 2 - 6107s" is definitely one of the early symptoms.

MTTP: 07W Decade - 2000-2009
For anyone (like me) who was thrilled with the 1st Issue 207WHSS (Mini Trapper with a Wharncliffe secondary) and wanted to see a Wharncliffe secondary blade on more 07 releases, the "aught" decade was very kind, generous and benevolent. I' have no idea why it took Case ten years from the 1990 release of the 1st Issue 207WHSS until 2000 with the appearance of the 07W (the "W" denoting a Wharncliffe secondary, obviously) to make the Wharncliffe Mini Trapper a standard option, but the 2000s produced a bumper 07W crop. Based solely on my own observations, I would say more 07W models were released in this decade than in any decade since.
This 2000 Emerald Green Jigged Bone 6207W was among the first 07Ws released in the New Millennium (Millennium Emerald, Emerald Millennium...try saying that three times in a row as fast as you can!)

Too true ~Q~. I have more 200x 07W's than I do 200x 07's.

I don't even know how many I have, but I'll try and post some group shots of my 200x 07Ws.
MTTP: Diamond Shield Debut 2004-2005
Another new feature that made its debut appearance on the Mini Trapper in the 2000s is the Diamond Shield. Up until that time Case had used a limited variety of shields (mostly oval) and text styles (open/closed/long-tail "C", tall/block/lightening "S", etc.). The Diamond Shield was actually just one of several new shield shapes to show up on the 07 during this decade (and it's my favorite).
2004 6207 "Tradewind Collection" sports the Diamond Shield

MTTP: Single-Blade Wharncliffe 107W Debut - 2002
Because of the increased number of different options that Case began offering early in decade 2000, the aught years proved particularly bountiful for 07 collectors. For Wharncliffe-o-philes it was positively providential.
My 107W infatuation started in 2002 with this Red Jigged Bone 6107 D mostly because I was curious about Damascus steel and wanted to try it out. As it turned out, I ended up falling head over heels for the single Wharncliffe knife as a "concept" That awakening has influenced and informed my entire knife collecting philosophy and focus ever since. (As for the Damascus steel I was like, meah, it's fine, I guess...I just hope it doesn't require a lot of maintenance.)
As denoted by the "D" in the pattern number, the blade is (random) Damascus; but, why there's no "W" in the pattern number to denote the Wharncliffe blade is a mystery that will vex OCD Mini-T Monkey until the day I die

And the 07W floodgates burst open...
* Some of the above pictured 07s were modified by Lansky1 into "TrappCliffes" or "Trapp2Cliffes" (which is what it's called after the master clip blade on a 6207W has been reprofiled into a short Wharncliffe giving the knife two (2) Wharncliffe blades, thus, the "-2Cliffes" suffix).

I managed to add one of those 2006 Stag critters.
These from 200X are also favorites. I like the shield on the last one.

Very diverse group of 200X 07s, jerryd.
MTTP: Endless Variety 2010 - 2019
The new date tang stamp continues using the "X"s and Dots from the previous decade except the top and bottom lines are flip-flopped (and the removal of dots and "X"s each year is also done in a different order).
The date stamp wasn't the only change to the 07; the new millennium introduced a lot of variety to the Mini Trapper's trim options both in the handles as well as the blade configuration that continued into the 2010-2019 decade.
Of course, there is (and probably always will be) the ubiquitous Amber Jigged Bone 6207
My personal favorites from this era are the single Wharncliffe blade 107W models.
This 2010 6107W Green Smooth Bone honors Katie Shonts, the official Case Historian and ultimate authority on Case knife history from the beginning of time immemorial up to the present day.

Thanks, Smitty. I do like the Antique finish Case uses...and I'm glad to know there are others reading/enjoying this thread besides just me and Bobby McGee...um...er...I mean, jerryd.
Here's another 2010 6107W, this one has Gray Jigged Bone. Gray is my favorite color; it's the subtle shade at the crossroads where total light meets absolute darkness; the intersection where beauty becomes truth, truth beauty.
