Jtx, great shot of that candy striped Pal! ::tu::

Jamie, love the MOP sleeve board. The tortoise shell is very nice too. Do you know if the tortoise shell is genuine or imitation? With an older knife like that it's possible you got the real thing. Real tortoise shell was used until the early '70s. Either way ya got a fine pocket knife. ::tu::

Beautiful knives Jamie. I had the same question as Squatch: Do you think you may have some real tortoise shell?

Well I typed my response it must have went to the other side of the moon….I purchased it from Roland, and he would never hot needle it , he said he was 99% sure it’s true shell, because 1956 when mfg. any man made material would have gotten brittle and/or clouded up, this one is neither I tend to agree with Roland on this one I think it’s true shell.

At well over 6 decades I think Roland's assessment is highly likely. What a wonderful knife to acquire.

He is a prince of a guy….terrible what he is going through, I’ve bought 23 knives from him at the end of may, and just last Friday bought I think another 14, I’ve not received those yet, but I’m sure they are all just as he explained them.
