Thanks guys, though I am not worried about Beaver Fever. I think I am immune.
I went to the Univ. of Oregon (Ducks) and Oregon State ate the Beavers and the Ducks arch rivals.
However, the Beavers baseball team is the only ones I will root for over the Ducks baseball team. Ducks are far better at football than baseball! Watch out Auburn in 2011!

The Beaver is also the Oregon State Animal & on the State flag, so I guess it is appropriate, besides it is just a cool looking shield!

I picked this up a few days ago. It's a WWII-vintage Camillus Army Engineers pocket knife. Nothing special, and pretty common from what I've gathered.



I've quickly grown fond of this knife. The condition was nothing to write home about, and I spent the last couple of nights cleaning the rust off it. But the bone is beautiful, and the main blade is about 98% full. The tools are fully functional too and the bail is attached pretty solidly. I don't care that it's a less-than-mint specimen, this is still a good knife and the condition ensures that I won't feel any guilt over using it.

That a pretty one!! I'd be proud to own it!

I love those knives! Some of my favs.
The steel in that knife will make you a carbon steel lover if you are not already!
And the bone don't get no better!

That is one of the most special knives you can find, (IMHO).

If you get tired of it and want to trade.....just let me know!


(but not for the beaver tail.......at least not until I get tired of it).

I'm fortunate enough to buy out the last of my grandad's Case collection. It had been "cherry picked" by a few before I got there, but I'm extremely happy to get what I got. My grandad is 81 and can't take care of his stuff like he used to and decided to let the family enjoy having them.

Here's a couple more that I got a few days ago (not from my Grandad).

Yeah Phil, I would have liked to seen them too! Grandad wouldn't sell them all until I got a few, so I made it easy for him and bought what was left.
