Nice looking knives.

I picked up this Single Blade at an auction, it was 1/2 of a knife and fork set, I think it has horn scales. I just liked it.

Manage; a town in Italy. If this is the same manufacturer, they started business in this town in 1300.

That is a good looking knife.

I believe I have a broken set too. Much older, I've got the fork.

I think Spyderco makes only single blade knives. One of their more unusual and interesting patterns is the "Q" series with skeletonized blades and handles. They made small numbers of this pattern with several different "themes" represented in the laser cut blades. Made primarily for the collector market, the "Q" knives tend to be quite popular among a specific niche of Spyderco collectors, with some of the rarer patterns fetching surprisingly high prices when they are sold. Some of patterns in this series are "souvenir" knives related to specific events like this one depicting a Pacific Blue Marlin, etched "Kona '98", commemorating the 1998 Hawaiian Billfish Tournament in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.

I also have a black angus .It was a lunch box knife that a friend of mine smuggled out of the Vernon co plant 40 odd years ago before the advertising was added .Newton Iowa was my birth place .Verons and Maytag offered the best paying jobs with benefits. In the area .

My wife is always complaining about her feet .thanks for sharing your corn knifes .Here is the S. & M that I get out when her whining starts .I haven’t got to use it on her yet because she is hesitant about my skills but it seem to quite her down for a while

I have been preoccupied with the weather today, and just now looking at website. I may have already shown all the single blades that I have.

Nah, my wife put a stop to that practice, Hoppes #9 was ruining the sheets. I'll have to check the Cottage Cheese containers stashed on the bottom shelf of the fridge, maybe I will have a post for next Saturday.

Yes, the story and history of the Vernon Co is an interesting one. I have the complete set as shown with the box, insert sheet, vinyl pocket slip, and unused knife. Yours appears to be a lockblade, mine is not. The knives were Japanese made and mine is etched on the back of the blade "Hand Honed Vernco HI-CV stainless Japan". Printed on the insert sheet are the directions to have the knife resharpened, honed, and stropped by a barber or a butcher.

A whole bunch of really fine single blades being shown, folks! Thoroughly enjoyed seeing all of these!

Here's a robust single blade to start things off for this Saturday. - 4 3/4" closed.
