Is the handle on the RR Trapper bone or synthetic? It looks more molded than carved/jigged to me.
There are a number of companies that use a synthetic material (Delrin) to replicate the look of stag bone, some do it better than others. The Remington R1178 Bullet Mini Trapper is one of the better ones I've seen.The description of the item on their site says, "natural stag bone". When I first got another knife made by them, I was suspicious that the handles were a synthetic material. The description of that item on their site also says, "natural stag bone". It sounds to me like they’re saying it’s “natural” (not synthetic) and “bone” (not antler). Super magnification reveals tiny horizontal lines or maybe a grid pattern like a mesh screen that might be a clue to how it was manufactured.

Here are some pick-ups from the past few months. Recently got this large Chuck Hawes Damascus hunter that appears to have the ACSB handles. Also got another large Toothpick to replace the one I traded with Q a while back and added the larger Moki 433 Kronos to go with my smaller 533. Love the smooth run-up that we have come to expect on the Mokis and Hawes folding hunter.

That's some stunningly gorgeous ACSB on your C. Hawes DFH, Kevin, and the Damascus bolster makes for a striking complement to the darker hue IMHO. Thank you for the kind words, Mark & Q! Always appreciate your positive feedback... I really like this Damacus C. Hawes Custom. Once I got it and was wiping it down with the blade partially open and the spring extending out, I noticed the back spring is done in Damascus as well. I know this model isn't particularly rare, but I've been wanting and looking for one for quite awhile and it's very satisfying to finally find one in brand new condition.

Here is a #41 Copperhead and #112 1/2 Medium Toothpick that I've recently acquired. Although it is probably not that rare, like your Slimline Trapper, the medium Toothpick seems to be another one that doesn't come up for sale very often.
