Paul Lone Wolf axial lock in Elephant
Tidioute lock back in Ebony
Here you go again Iman,

posting all these heart stopping knives! I'll bet green money that you have a Lone Wolf Defendor tucked away somewhere, right?
Thanks Marco. And I hate to disappoint but you have seen all my Lone Wolves already. No defender, no nothing else. Just the two. But thanks for asking and always appreciate your comments and compliments. Thanks again.

The Gerber really got me looking hard. An interesting little folder with the disposable blade like those in my Stanley utility knife. Thanks again.
Thanks. The little Gerber is just under 3 inches closed length and is designed to be a box cutter. Can’t recall where or how I got it but it’s never been used. It’s an older one, the newer ones are made in China.
Ken
I like it. Probably disappears in the pocket. Nice one.

3 Finger Mac just sent this one out to me and couldn't be happier. Spottless beauty and the lock up is incredible. Stiff spring and Liner Lock makes for zero wobble and absolutely feels like a fixed when it's open and locked up. As it should be. Now if GEC could get that out of it's lock backs I would say they make the perfect LB. Since they don't I will say they make the perfect Liner Lock. Thanks again GEC and double thanks for 3FMac. Loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooove me some GEC spears. Thats' why they call it GREAT Eastern Cutlery. No doubt it is.

Gorgeous Iman! Is that pattern with the curved body referred to as a "Tideout" or somethin' else?

Thx!

Great one Marco. I assume you're joking right? I think it's a "dogleg" pattern like the rear leg of a dog. You probably know Tidioute is an Algonquian Native American word that means a protrusion of land as in a bend in the river. Tidioute is on the blade etch and that's the level of knife GEC puts at the bottom tier in that it doesn't have as many fancy bells and whistles as the GEC or Northfield levels of trim. Love me some Native American style and words too. I've seen them ranked accordingly:
Northfield
GEC
Tidioute
I like them all and have no real preference, I don't shy away from any of them. I do like Tidioute for the plain unfluted bolsters and smooth, rounded curves and designs though. But I like Northfields extras too. That's just the designation this one is and probably the kind I end up buying more of. Because those seem to be the ones I can get ahold of most.

Unfortunately for me Iman I wasn't joking.

I truly hadn't seen that shape frame prior to viewing yours, and I thought a Tideout was the similar shape of a Barlow with a rounded body and spear blade just like all the one's you post. I'm getting a bit better at recognizing certain patterns, but I still have a long way to go.

Gotcha, and didn't mean any offense by assuming you knew of doglegs or when I assumed you were joking. My mistake assuming everyone knows more than me on these things. I don't know all the patterns either, just some I've picked up here or from the GEC lists some dealers use to direct buyers to their particular models and availabilities. I'm no expert or authority, just a fan and novice. You and me both have a long way to go probably, but thanks for the compliments and comments and always willing to discuss questions and banter with AAPK brothers.

Absolutely NO offence taken buddy.

I make the mistake of "ass"uming stuff way too often, and as a result I usually make an "ass" of myself for doing so. That's not to say that's what you did, I'm speaking strictly about my own shortcomings. I totally understand why my knowledge of patterns is limited, and it's because I concentrate on stilettos and little else. Most knives I like or purchase are because of how the piece looks, and which pattern it is is of little consequence so I don't get to increase my knowledge base much. I certainly learn things along the way through this forum and the information posted, but it's not nearly the same as seeking out the information because it interests one. Hey, we're havin' fun so it's all good!

Just put this together. Large lock back kit I used some worm grove oak in my barn, so I used it for the scales.

Indeed. Agreed. Have had "foot in mouth" disease many times here and not because of others, but because of my own ignorance or misunderstanding. And I get that these are not your focus or your interest like they may be for me. I make the mistakes of assuming everyone here knows as much or more than I on all kinds of patterns and terms and an endless list of things so I'm with you. Just didn't want you to feel bad for not knowing or that I was giving you a superiority complex or something. Not the case. We're all ignorant, just in different areas and as long as someone is trying or learning and not "know-it-alling" then I am happy to discuss and share the knowledge I have picked up, but most of what I have picked up is due to the nice people who have explained it to me or helped me understand. If I can pass that on to others, all the better. And I would have a hard time discussing anything about autos and stilettos intelligently with you because I know very little about them. So we're even. Thanks again for understanding.

I always knew your heart and intentions are in the right place Iman as they are for myself, and by only being able to communicate via the typed word sometimes misunderstandings happen, but fortunately we're willing to talk things out so nobody's feelings get crushed. It's all good!

Group photo I found looking for a specific knife. It's pretty bad, however.
CRKT M16-10KZ (the smaller "EDC" model)--framelock
SKEDCO Warfighter Extreme Medicine (Eickhorn Professional Rescue Tool/PRT IV)--linerlock operated by external button. Great with gloves. Too bad I lost some parts while trying to change out the strap cutter. I will try contacting both Skedco and Eickhorn to see if they carry the missing screws, spacer,m and of course the replacement strap cutter,
Antonini ARA XL Rescue Hawkbill--linerlock
Byrd (Spyderco) Rescue 2--Lockback w/Boye Dent.
Spyderco Ladybug--lockback with Boye Dent.

Thanks for the compliment Prober, appreciate that. First knife is an Artisan Cutlery Cazador liner lock flipper. The covers are olive drab green canvas micarta. Thanks again and glad you like seeing them.
