All About Pocket Knives

Here is a bent Barlow by Kabar that I got in a few weeks ago. It’s already sold and delivered.

Also is a picture that makes me blue thinking about the guy on the ground floor.

Great idea QS! In the "Research" section IMO.

Thank you all. That’s a good idea Garry. I will look at my photo’s and see if there are some I could assemble together in a thread. I know there would be some disagreements about what some jigging is called. I see a lot of people use “pick bone jigged” to describe just about everything.
Case has probably the best jigging on bone in the industry. I am always amazed at the coloring and jigging that is on so many Case knives, they truly have mastered the art.
I know I have favorites like the pin feather jigged bone on the Henckels above and rope jigging like on the Kabar, in addition to liking those I am really wild about Barnboard jigged bone, sawcut jigged bone and Rogers jigging. I know I would enjoy just looking at a thread with all those in it.

I love blue handled knives and you guys have been showing some real blue beauties.

This Hen & Rooster 212BL is the only H&R in my collection that's not stag.

This is my favorite blue knife in my collection. 4” Boker Solingen Stockman. The bone has such deep rich color with an almost translucent quality like hard candy!

Q that H&R is really nice. I have a Sowbelly Stockman with the same handles and it’s killer.
Eye Brand, that blue on that Boker is rich looking. It seems that some blue bone can just have that deep rich coloration, and that one has it.

redrider, those are two very fine looking knives nicely displayed.

#1 a set of Fruit knives made of DuPont Lucite in blue.
#2 A Cattaraugus floating fish knife originally painted in blue.
#3 A Thornton equal end pen knife in "sorta blue"
#4 A money clip knife with "blue" lettering.

Redrider those two together look great. I have that Red Trout knife, but I keep getting outbid every time one of those Kabar’s comes up for sale. Blue Rope jigged is one of my favorites.
K7K, what an eclectic assortment of knives. I haven’t seen those Dupont fruit knives before, very interesting.

This thread has shown some really nice knives.
I really like the ones in blue bone.

Nice Tom, Case just does bone color and jigging right. Most every handle that comes from Case is spot on.

Thanks Tom. You made a good choice with those blue trappers (even if one of them is a mini ) Now you need a blue 6254 to round out the group. (the pile grows and this is one way in which it happens )

Nice pair, Tom. I love red shields and on the blue bone it looks quite classy, IMO. Surprising how huge the 07 Mini Trapper appears next to the 154 Tiny Trapper. I agree with jerryd, you need a matching 54 Trapper to complete the trifecta.
