Wow!
Where do you get knives in this condition? Do you have a time machine?

Picked this up a while back… The seller Claimed to have owned it since the late 70s or early 80s… Cannot find another one like it or any information about it… the bolster/hilt says “Liberty and Union”..tight as a snare drum, never sharpened..Does anyone know anything about this or seen one like it? Thank you for your replies…

Not like any Winchester I've ever seen.

It has a distinctly European flair to it and the tang stamp bothers me. It's the big space between "TRADE" and "MARK" and then there's the bottom line. "MADE" and then there's a big space between that and "INUSA". No space between "IN" and "USA". It just makes me suspicious.

Yes, I can't imagine Winchesters made in the USA would have strange spacing like that. Not something I have seen before.

Nice knife

... That knife and particularly handles are very reminiscent of Eagle Knife Co which Winchester acquired for knife making ... Eagle was known for banging out high production knives...

That's a nice commemorative set stanwade, I have never seen that one before. Winchester M21 that is an outstanding hunter you picked up. Here are couple of my recent finds. A 2995 jack knife and a 3929 congress whittler. The jack had rust along top of both blades and I have cleaned it as much as I am comfortable doing.
