Great score John ... looks to be in great condition - not an easy find for an old Holley! Shield is cool and blade swedges are so crisp ...

Beautiful old jack.

The shield reminds me of a sliding volume control on some electronic devises, as well as on computer screens for digital music and video apps.

Of course, such things didn't exist when the knife was made, so we probably shouldn't call it a "Slider Bar" shield.

JohnR, you "probably overpaid for this..." only if you're not pleased with it. And I think you are and should be. Such quality and condition is always satisfying.

Thank you for everyone's comments. Knife showed up and it is a nice example, one of the better Holley's I have seen, been lightly cleaned without rounding edges, full blades, crisp tang stamps, main negative is a fine pin crack on the pile side which I knew about from pictures.

Unfortunately I can't take good pictures for awhile, been battling knee pain for awhile and las night It totally let loose, excruciating pain, had MRI today and talking to surgeon tomorrow, hope I don't miss the Rendezvous.

John, that is pretty darn nice for a Holley! Hope everything with your knee works out favorably and you don’t experience to much pain and discomfort in the process

Thanks guys, just got the radiology report and have a root torn meniscus and some floaters, should be fixable. Soon as I can will take pictures of the knife, it deserves it.

JohnR, sorry for the bum knee. I understand, I have 2 new ones. Money well spent. Glad you have that Holley to handle until you feel better.

Was able to hobble around and take a few pics, for me the best part of this knife is the clip main with a swedge that goes almost tip tp tang, don't think I have another knife done this way in the collection. The shield is unique also. Blades are full, looks like had little use but has had rust cleaned off and does have pin crack on pile side.

Thanks for everyone's well wishes, had a positive doctors visit yesterday and may be able to avoid surgery, had a shot and start PT next week.

Thank you all for the nice comments. Lee, thought the knee was going to be ok but it could not handle one day back at work before pain and swelling started up again so I am now waiting on a date for Doc to scope it and see what's going on and what he can fix.

John I guess I haven't been paying attention lately. So sorry to hear about your mobility problems.Modern medicine does some amazing things these days so I hope you get fixed up pretty quick. All that stuff still hurts though. I wish you a speedy recovery. And what a great knife. At least knee problems haven't affected your Knife eye.

Here's a little Holley Boys Knife I got in today.
It's in great condition as is its big brother that I am showing in comparison.

While these two were catching frogs their older, more sophisticated sibling was
catching trout on river.

Joe, very nice Holley's, love the boys knife with its bigger brother, quite a pair to have in a collection.
