Mitch, she is the best. She sent me a note about 3 years ago. In it she wrote; "Perry, thanks for sharing this with me. And thank you for giving me the opportunity to sing with you." Much Love, Faith. Giving her the opportunity to sing with me? I was stunned. This came after the Breathe record had been released and had been so huge in the charts for so long.
She is definitely a class act. Here's the note. Thats pretty cool mm!

....I feel almost embarassed to show my old ugly, fat mug on here. But you DID ask for it. Here's me and my snow machine on the top of Packer John Mt. (8,100ft.) behind our house and another one of me and my ATV on top of Garden Mt. somewhere behind our house. We've got what seems like a million miles of trails and BLM land to roam in.

Speaking of Blues (Probably my favorite type of music) has anyone heard of the young kid named Jonnie Lang? Whew! We went and saw him in concert. What an amazing talent. He reminds me of Stevie Ray Vaughn a lot....and that's no faint praise, to say the least! Another favorite young blues singer of mine is Kenny Wayne Shepherd. And....does anyone like Delbert McClinton? It's always been a mystery to me why he hasn't been more recognized in the music world. I have 4 or 5 of his albums and they're all great. I once saw him on "Austin City Limits" with Bonny Raitt & Jonnie Lang. Man oh man....what a collection of talent. ::tu::

It sure does look nice. Reminds me of the Rocky Mountains in Montana & Northern Idaho, or the Blue Mountains of Oregon. I have only seen the mountains of Colorado from the air & from Denver. They make a nice backdrop for the Rockies' stadium.

I would love to move to Montana when my wife retires, but my arthritis wouldn't take the cold in the winter.

You are a lucky man Dew. I grew up in the mountains of Southern Oregon, I sure do miss them.

Hey all,

Laura told me she would not mind if I did this. I'm going to post a picture of Roger that allows us to see a little more of him.

I get a lump in my throat every time I see that Toenail of his pop-up on the site.

Re-introducing Roger Dongworth.

Gary, I had chatted with Roger several times via e-mail. I was so impressed with how helpful, informative, and just a genuine nice guy that Roger was and how he was willing to share his belief in God which I admired greatly. I still miss reading his posts and his e-mails. He was just a rare type of individual who will be missed by everyone he touched.

AAPK Meeting at Middletown Show

Three AAPK members met today for the Middletown N.Y. Gun & Knife Show. It was great fun to meet other members personally, and a wonderful opportunity for conversation and learning. ::tu::

Left to right are Sauconian, Rusty1, and ea42. :D

Although at least one of the group went home with newly bulging pockets, my recent resolve to concentrate on vintage knives of one particular maker, was excuse enough for a compensatory stop at Dunkin Donuts so I didn't return totally empty handed. ::shrug::

Thanks, Russell and Eric !

O my what a golden time in the life of collecting in all of our lives.

I would have liked to have been there with you all. Just to meet you three.

I can see that Rusty1 is holding Sauconian's glasses for him. In one hand cuz he is holding his own glasses in his other hand...  Rusty is always helping friends.

ea42 I am glad to see you haveing so much fun too. Did you buy the first round of beer ?

I also see ONE AAPK hat. GOOD for you. It is hard to realise (for us old farts) that computers we have changed our lives so much. I bet you never felt that you ten years ago we would be touched by so many peoples lives because of a computer SITE. Just one more THANKS to BRYAN... ::nod:: .Next year they will all have AAPK hats. ::nod::

justold52 thanks for the kind words, you are certainly right about the computer age, how far things have come along and how much easier it can be to get questions answered, not only on knife related questions.

Here's my wife (Shae) and I in Las Vegas for an Anniversary party. It was the weekend of the Parker show (that's why we missed it.)
Turned out profitable though, we both hit Royal Flushes on quarter machines! On the same day...........................

Dale, where if I may ask? I was born, raised, and returned to Grants Pass. Unfortunately, it appears that soon my career may take me to the Portland metro area or worse, Seattle. I love cities, Portland in particular and Seattle a close second, but I'm sure going to miss the mountains.

Not much career opportunity for me in GP, Lakeview, or Enterprise....

Nice country, Dewman. Hoping to get over to the Seven Devils soon myself. Oh yeah, and Johnny Lang is awesome. :)
