That's some nice stag on that stock-anoe! Is that a Kissing Crane?
AGR always designs a really nice knife. That one's a beauty, I had a feeling it was a special one.

The stag is indeed R. Klaas Kissing Crane, it's the 1977 NKCA (at the time NKC&DA) club knife. I have a couple others, but I got this one specifically to carry. Takes a wicked edge and fills the hand up right. Plus the sheepsfoot comes in extra handy quite often.

Well I'm on the hunt for an ivory Buck, it seems... ::smirk::

Tony,

I picked up my Canoe - Moose on ebay about two years ago. I still see one there every once in a while. If I run across another I'll give you a heads-up.

We were talking about the different sizes of the canoe pattern.
Well, from my novelty section, this must be called the aircraft carrier of the canoes! ::rotflol::
I added a standard size Case canoe for scale....

Thanks, Squach, that would be mighty good of you.

I dig that orange (persimmon, I imagine) bone canoe with the etch in the bone. As much as a Case-o-phile as I am, I had no luck getting my hands on a clean example with the Indian etch on the blade...until the other day. Managed to find a birth year (1976) red bone canoe with full blades and the Indian etch online and took it for a reasonable price. It should be arriving at some point in the next week. ::ds::

Congratulations Tony!!!! ::tu:: ::clapping::

Case didn't start putting the canoe etch on the master blade until 1974, so you got one from very near the beginning.

You are correct the color is persimmon orange. It was an SFO for SMKW. When I saw the same Indian in the canoe that they etch into the blade laser engraved on the bone handle......I had to have one. I've seen a couple of them on ebay since then but the asking prices were extravagant.

I have one coming in that's kind of special, it should be arriving tomorrow or Monday. This one has been on my "wanted list" for a long while, I'm glad to finally find one at a price that wasn't too painful. I'll post pics as soon as I have time after it gets here. ::super_happy::

Pocket worn Zippo? :shock:

The younger smoker in me is seething with jealousy right now. Heck, the older non-smoker is a little envious too. :wink:

Real nice set, Phil. ::tu::

Dang, Squach...How much longer can you keep this cavalcade of canoes going? Just when I think I've seen them all, you pull even more out of your apparently bottomless stash...Un-Be-lievable. Those shadow bone butterbeans must be somewhat rare, no? I've never seen them anywhere before. Very cool 8)

How long have you been collecting canoes?

~Q~

I've been seriously collecting for about 10 years. Before that I had a couple of drawers full of old knives that belonged to family members and such. One day I thought I should probably organize those knives into some kind of order......and a collector was born! :shock:

I still have a few I haven't posted yet.......stay tuned! ::rotflol::

Pretty scales on that middle one, Junior Member 2007. What do they call it? Doesn't look like antique bone, or goldenrod, or anything I've seen before. Pretty though. Nice scales on the script shield one too, kind of reddish, autumn leaves, but not quite. Very nice.

I think that Junior Member etch is because it's a Case Collector's Club 'bean, if I'm reading (guessing) the shield correctly. ::paranoid::

Thanks Ivoryman. Case listed the color of the Junior Member Knife as "Honey Brown".

You are correct Tony. It is the Case Collectors Club annual club knife, Junior Member Edition, from 2007.

Here's the Regular Member Edition (canoe) from 2008.
