Really,it's hard to believe they didn't make one though.It may be out there. I recently found cuts for a Schatt,Union,and H&B I didn't know existed. I've heard of a Howard too.Seems every maker around the turn of the century had one.

That is unique Dimitri! I think it is one of the most unique bolsters I have seen.
Not too big, not bad, not boring, but I may have to stop just short of saying "Beautiful."

Neat bolster Dimitri,
Is it on a German knife? It seems they liked the bull motif around the turn of the 1900s, judging by some catalog cuts from that era.

None of these can approach the level of Charlie's Terrier, but I like 'em for one reason or another...

Here's a German-made C.Y. & Co. with fancy bolsters.

Here's a Walter Bros pen knife I recently got. The mother-of-pearl was carved in the same style of the bolsters. Half the reason I acquired it was because it matches this horn-handled Wm. Elliot & Co. jack I have. The horn on the Elliot jack was carved to match the bolsters as well.

I think this American Winstead Barlow is interesting, the B to me looks like an Owl head when its sideways.

I'm particularly fond of the step bolsters on this old Belknap (Boker??) Congress.
Wallace Rockwell covered this Camillus 72 for me in gold-lip pearl provided by Dale, then Damon Soileau (AAPK member) did the scroll work on the bolsters. It's difficult to get a good shot of it.
Four years ago, I won this fancy Case Stag Trapper here on AAPK.
I may have mentioned that I like engraved bolsters, especially the ones with deep engraving (or is that a stamp? Whatever. I still like it.).
The bolsters on this Schatt & Morgan English Jack check all my boxes.
And this one too.
Like the S&M English Jack, this Great Eastern #77 Washington Jack twangs my magic twanger froggy.

Dave - Those 2 knives have matching bolsters and style for sure - like they were made to be a set ... very cool...

John - Very cool Barlow and no doubt American Knife Co Winsted - interesting they put a B on the bolster - guess for Barlow - I would have thought they would have marked the bolster with an A for American ....

Jerry - That step down bolster on the old Boker is unique to my eyes - I really like that look ... the others are some of the fanciest bolsters I have seen on more modern knives - indeed all really nice

Here's a pretty neat old bolster

Sure am lovin' the bolster (and the shield) on this Case 07 Mini-Trapper. The simple elegance of the threaded bolsters on this 07 Mini-Trapper made it impossible to pass up.
