Great looking knives! I love that Pennsylvania is still making great knives. I put this one in the knives from PA thread today, but I thought I would add it here also.

Thank you, Carvin Don! I first picked it up today because of the pretty scales & tried not to let the dealer see my joy.

I can understand that...you done good on that find, I think.
Here are a couple of my latest purchases, two newer PA knives, from GEC. Half congress, raisin bone and gold glitter. I'm enjoyin' 'em.

Here is an old Boker. It has spent a lot of time in a gentleman's pocket, I am sure. Even though the light colored bone is not my favorite, I do like that it is a Congress Whittler. In LG4, it is also referred to as a three-blade tobacco knife.

Nice pick ups Don. I cant wait to see what you carve with those.
Cool old boker kathy! Nothing like the character of an old pocket worn knife.

knifegirl, you must be near boker heaven. You pick up some nice ones.
That one is a beauty. I can't find that pattern in any of my old catalogs, but I believe it was made between 1891-1910.

(The GERMANY stamp was done after 1891, and that tang stamp was used on the German made Bokers from circa 1860 to 1910)
Really unique find. I'm drooling.
edit: after looking closely at GOIN's tree stamps, I'm thinking yours closely resembles the stamp used circa 1907.

Thanks, Guys! Bret & I are both really starting to like the Congress pattern. In LG4, it says the Congress Whittler is relatively rare. It shows a Boker in the illustration, also. I did wonder about the tang stamp.... I don't think I had seen one with the tree and Germany like that before? Thanks so much for researching it!!
