Victorian trade card for CASE BROS CUTLERY. Of course I had to sneak in my vintage CASE BROS knife at the same time

I posted this over in JSK auction post.Maher & Grosh paper lot I bought.It had 3 reprint catalogs, along with some original stuff.A post card, some billboards, an an original 1929 catalog in the envelope it was mailed in.Also in the catalog was an unused order form.

I picked this old H. Boker cancelled check from 1889 off ebay a couple of weeks ago.

Wow some nice stuff posted!!! Yes that was sly of you DR David for getting that great toe in there!!! Here is cool piece I picked up for all you Case fans. A 1979-1982 Employee handbook that has 46 pages. Pretty cool topics if you look at the first page. Check out the page with the pay rates!!!

Here are some Ebay auction photos, not very good ones, of a Robeson informational pamphlet re' construction techniques of their knives. These were the only pics posted to the auction and do not show the book in its entirety.

This sold on Ebay several years ago and went fairly high, higher than I bid, anyway.

Nice booklet, any idea of the age?

Mason, I do not recall the booklet having a date stamp, but given what's on the cover and the illustrations inside, I'd say it cannot be any later than the 1930's.

I know that at least two people here at AAPK own one of these knives.

This little pamphlet is currently up for auction on Ebay, but I wanted to save it in perpetuity in this thread.

Thanks to Charlie and Keith for posting those pictures of the A.A.Marks brochure.What is strange is if I remember correctly(and I'll have to dig my knife out to double check)the company is listed as being in Newark New Jersey rather than New York. The etching on the blade is faint but I could have sworn it was NJ.I'll check and report back.

Got this off Ebay yesterday thanks to a heads-up from Michael Losicco.

One could get the knife for free by signing up men to sell seeds and such. As soon as one of the men listed placed an order, the knife would be sent and one could get additional knives for every additional man that also placed an order.

Any order in excess of $200.00 would earn a $5.00 dividend.

Knife is described as 4 1/2" long closed, which is a substantial piece of Robeson cutlery.

Knife was available in wood, stag or black composition, winner's choice.

That's quite a nice give-away.

Wonder what a 4 1/2" stag (or bone-stag, possibly) handled, two blade Robeson sleeveboard with a nicely etched master blade would cost today?

I read the postmark as 1900.

Here is a letterhead from Ulster Knife Co. that I have had for many years. It is one of my favorite pieces because of the subject matter. Buying seed potatoes for the employees gardens. Gardens kept on factory land for workers kept in factory housing. Dated May 12th, 1920.
