Not normally able to tell year from pattern stamping numbers, but an Experts Expert that would possibly be familiar with that era year by year might be able to give a guess by way the stamping looks???

Ivoryman, there is some beautiful red bone in your pictures! I have a workhorse mid-1970's Case 6207 jack, great knife, but mine is Delrin handled - no sex appeal at all. OH

It appears you've used that 194 several times by the shape of the blade, or is that just the angle of the picture? Either way the USA made ones were good knives and there ain't nothing shabby about Leatherman tools either.

Thanx TF She was my roving around hunting knife in the 90's while I was working on the road doing shutdowns split a good number of pelvic bone with it I use her now mostly for bird hunting and fishing

I've been toting the 194OT for the last few days too!!

I decided to go with a big Gerber and a huckleberry boys knife today.

Some of that old Red bone reminds me of licorice, just delicious looking.....Pass me a bib

Started to carry this one. CASE XX USA 6111-1/2L that belonged to member Johnnie Rotten. Has some beautiful cranberry red bone. I had the loose blade and guard fixed. Really love this knife. Will carry with pride knowing it was his.

I suspect there are many hues hiding in that cranberry bone, it's beautiful.
