I guess these probably qualify as 'matching pairs', albeit, they're both not knives.
Once again, my brother surprised me with this set. (I wasn't supposed to open until Christmas, but I couldn't help myself

) He knows I like a good Case knife, especially a Trapper, if it's unique and different. He saw this one and picked it up for me. While perusing the net, he came across the pen that matched the knife scales perfectly. The knife scales and the pen scales are called "Arctic Ice". What are the odds of that? The Case knife is Model # EX254 and a limited run. The pen is a Lanier.
My Bro is the BEST!

Wow! Some fancy pieces here Gentlemen!
Here's a pair of plain old CAMCO's. I picked them up separately but get a kick out of displaying them together.
4-5/8" and 2-1/2" Ticklers. They take me back to what knives were when we were small boys.

Not a pair and not really a match, but seemed like they might go here. Tidioute #15s all around, factory bone, modded stag by Evan Esynx. The newest edition is the Roosevelt Elk second from the right so put together a group shot.

Great group of Tidioute #15s, Ivoryman.
Following your lead...not a matching pair
per se...here's four of the same pattern:
Case 6207 Appaloosa Smooth Bone Mini Trappers

Thanks...I seem be infatuated with the Appaloosa Bone all of a sudden. Other than Peacock Appaloosa, I never really paid it much notice before.
Stag, on the other hand, is a long-time all-time favorite...always desirable and always desired. Picked up an older Bertram Hen & Rooster with some of the nicest stag I've seen on an H&R Mini Trapper. (Notice that the shields are oriented differently.)

My matching pair for today are these two PASTOR ALEMAN (German Shepherd), single blade pocket knives. They are both "BARLOW" pattern pocket knives. They measure 5" closed, not including the bail and 9" open, not including the bail. This knife "brand" is part of the Imperial and Colonial, Mexico story/connection.

Two very matched doglegs. The no shield is a Catt. The shielded one's tang stamp is completely obliterated. The shielded one is very slightly the larger of the two. I paid $1 for the unmarked one and have always been curious as to it's brand. The bone is jigged ever so slightly differently from the Catt but the colors are so close .May have replaced blade(s); if so it's a good job, she snaps. Iron bolsters, Remington? Robeson, ???
Any opinions invited. J.O.
