That is a great looking knife! The shape reminds me of the Case Seahorse whittler(6355).
I have an old Price Guide (1976 addition) by Mrs. Dewey P. (Lavona) Ferguson. She lists 2 A J Jordan knives back then, one is German made and the other is Sheffield, England. Does your knife indicate what country it was made in? Back then the German model commanded a higher price.

Here is a knife brand I have never seen before. Carrick & Craig Glasgow, with no country of origin stamped. What little I could find on the internet says this company made woodworking tools c. 1893-1922. Pehaps a contract knife made for them. Water buffalo horn handles and both blades well marked. I'd guess that the turn of the century is a good ballpark. Very stout knife at 3 15/16" closed.

Just got this one over weekend out of a gun safe that had been locked for at least 10 years… but this Hatch curlery what I see was produced 1892-1898 a few years before I was on the scene….

This arrived very recently in a large group of pocket knives that I purchased. I did NOT buy the group to obtain this particular pocket knife. However, I was quite surprised and pleased that it was in the group. It is a SENECA, two blades, single tang stamp, 3 1/16" closed, pocket knife. The tang stamp reads "SENECA - CUTLERY CO. - UTICA, N.Y. - 33." The secondary blade rides a little high in the saddle. This does NOT concern me. Except for that issue, it is in GOOD condition. It did require some minor cleaning. I cleaned it, I took some pictures and here it is.

This pocket knife arrived very recently in a large group of pocket knives that I bought. I did NOT buy the group to get this particular pocket knife. It is a WABASH, two blades, two tang stamps, 3 1/4" closed, pocket knife. The main blade tang stamp reads "WABASH CUTLERY - CO. - TERRE-HAUTE, IND." The secondary blade tang stamp reads "W. C. CO. - T. H. IND." Overall, it is in pretty GOOD condition. It did require some very minor cleaning. I took some pictures and here it is.

The first one has "PACIFIC HDWL STEEL CO" stamped in the bigger blade and model number (i guess) 2445 in the smaller. Is Pacific Hardware Steel Co in San Francisco the maker? I read something about that in another thread here.

I have a hard time reading the stamp on the knife with mother of pearl handle. Maybe someone here recognizes the stamp?

I can't make it out, but Simmons was in St. Louis and so was Shapleigh.

Welcome to AAPK. As a general rule hardware companies did not manufacture cutlery, they contracted with cutlery manufacturers to have knives made and stamp them with the hardware company name. There are some notable exceptions but I don’t know that Pacific Hardware & Steel was one of them. Someone here may know more about who made it. Napanoch would be a possibility.
