Cool knife and rock, Jmh, though I do not think that the painting is very old.

Nice old Schrade in some cool shots Iman. ::tu::

Great newbie Tvic. Good pic too.

It was a wet walk today, light drizzle on and off the whole way. The Mighty Canine Muscle Missile stumped his toe and boogered up one of his nails chasin' tree-rats. Broke the nail at the quick was leakin' some blood. I washed it out with some alcohol when we got back but will need to watch for infection.

Today's shots...

The ESEE 3 is fairly new to me, I haven't had it long. I've cut some rope and sharpened a couple of weenie roastin' sticks but haven't worked it hard yet. Solid knife.

Nice looking blue covers Squatch. Excellent photo of the Land Shark. His coloring and compact muscles are most impressive. Regret the foot injury. Thanks for posting him.

He'll never be accused of being graceful. ::rotflol:: His foot seems to be on the mend, he isn't even limping. Looks like he's game for another walk later.

The blue bone scales on that canoe are a new color from Case called Blue Denim.

Nice knife photos and awesome looking dog! He looks like he would be fun to play a little tug of war with, and he looks like he would easily win!

Thanks Ike.

He's an incredibly strong dog. I'm 6'4", 200 lbs. and on the leash he will literally drag me along. That's what that metal Sprenger collar you see around his neck is for, it keeps him from pulling hard on the leash. It's all fun and games until he sees a squirrel or a cat and then he's chomping at the bit. Once we get out of the residential area and into the grove by the creek I let him off leash so he can burn up all of that energy chasin' squirrels and whatever else happens to cross his path. It's kinda' cool being in the middle of "metro area" and having this little slice of forest almost in my back yard. For the last 5 or 6 years I've been watching a pair of mated Bald Eagles down there. They must be nested in the grove somewhere by the creek. I see them fishing in the creek on a fairly regular basis. I've also seen two fledglings over that period of time, young eagles that haven't grown in white on the head and tail yet. I've tried to get some photos but in order to get anything good I would need a telephoto lens. We'll be heading down there for our daily walk shortly.

Thanks Iman.

My phone cam is not up to the task when you need significant zoom so I took along a small digital camera with 10X optical zoom, which doesn't impress me either, hoping I might get close enough for a good shot. If they are perched in a treetop on the creek bank they don't let you get too close before they take flight. But we only caught a glimpse of them today about 5 or 6 hundred yards downstream soaring over the creek toward the river. You could see the light catch those white tails when they would bank and turn.

Today's shots...

The feathers of a Bald Eagle transition from year to year. The full classic white head and tail can take 4 to 5 years. Younger birds can have varying degrees of white and brown streaking.

Handsome looking knife Squatch.

It was a very windy walk today. The Fabulous Furry Farklehound spent half his time chasing windblown leaves.

You too jmh, that is a fabulous pic. Love the waterfall background. Beautiful. And the old Case red bone knocks it out of the park.
