Of all the letters. Seems like they could have picked any other combination.

Sometimes folks are so focused on other things (tunnel vision) they don't see what you see.

Thanks Ivory. Nice Cigar also.

Here is another I just pulled into permanent EDC pile.

Previously gently used CASE XX 6216 Red Bone. According to Steve's book, made in XX era from only 62' to 64' and made by another cutlery firm. Before I read the latter part, I thought the same thing based on the hafting and jigging. Where the scales meet the liners, the scales remain square and not feathered or rounded. Really beautiful work on the bone scales for sure and they did not cheap out on that. Whomever made it, it is a beautiful and quality knife especially since it was made with no lower bolster, no shield and thinner blade and back spring stock as a lower cost alternative. 3-3/8" closed.
Maybe the combo of the CV steel and thinner blade, but the edge gets really sharp, really easily. Nice solid half stops and crisp snaps like the 31 frame.

Unlike some, to each his own, it never really bothered me that most CASE 2 bladed Jacks have nail nicks on opposite sides. This is one of the few CASE patterns where nicks are on same side. Will see if I really care for the difference or not carrying this one.

Out of my 19 EDC knives, which includes this one, this will only be my second EDC with a Spear main blade. All the others are clips or sheepfoot. Be interesting to see how I like the Spear blade.

Killing me with those oldies Jerry, what a fabulous piece. Coolest knife I've seen today, absolutely beautiful in every way. I love the barehead and everything you post seems like Case museum, premium collectors stock. I'm happy just to see stuff like this, let alone carry and experience it. Drooling with envy. You da man, keep those rare beauties coming. And thanks for sharing.

Thanks Ivory for the compliment.

I agree, great 35-1/2 Ken. Is that a straight USA era or a 70's dotted example. Cant tell from pics with my eyeballs. Nice example either way.

Cut and Drool. Cutter is a 2014 TB61028 SS Teardrop. Love the Spearcliffe or Wharnear blade, does everything I need, love the thin, the handle shape, perfect size for me. Drooler is a 1964-69 6207 Mini Trapper. Clip and pen. Don't cut with it, carry it and look at it a lot. Love it, thanks Q.

Beautiful knives guys. Jerry I especially like that spear blade Case! Most excellent.

Nothing in my pocket today. I'm setting in my chair doing some computer work, getting ready for the opening of the new school year next week. But on the table beside me are my Orvet Custom loom fixer with hickory scales, a peach seed bone schrade 804, a Craftsman 9488 (Schrade 804 in delrin), a 2 dot Case 63047, and my ever present SAK Spartan.

I think I'm well equipped in case a stray cedar stick comes along that needs whittling!

Ken how do you like the Russlock ? I don't own one so they are a curiosity to me.

I keep going back to my CASE/BOSE dogleg jack; I really love this knife. But... it has been a struggle. First, I laid it on the fender of a trailer at the landfill, and that was the end of that one. I went back and looked for a LONG time. Then I bought another one from a forum member and have carried it often. A few weeks back I laid it in a drawer for a few days. I came back to it after a little rest, and BOTH SPRINGS WERE SNAPPED IN HALF!!! :x So.... I sent it in to CASE and they fixed it pronto, no questions asked, no fee. ::tu:: So... what will happen next?

Great story tongueriver, glad Case did you right. Spent way more hours on extricating this block of concrete that used to hold a rotted off post than I envisioned. Three foot fence with some lattice on top. Enough concrete to secure a phone pole. Too big to set the new post around it, so it had to go. What a beast, worked on it hard for several hours. Finally got it out and feel like king. Here's my Queen.

Nice teardrop! Great pattern. I worked on a clothesline pole for a week once. When we finally winched it out it had a truck engine crankshaft embedded in what must have been about 8 bags of concrete, with various other scraps of iron. Unbelievable.

You topped it with that eight bags of concrete on the clothes line pole digging for a week. Laughed hard at that one, great stuff man.
