This has to be one o my favorite knives I own., That just goes to show a knife's value is not always related to it's price or worth. The bone handle on this little 72 is some of my favorite.

Phillip, you know I think that's one fine piece of cutlery. They made three iterations in the '90s with those bone handles. It's my opinion they were all aimed at the collectors market. I have yet to see one (and I haven't seen very many) that isn't in factory condition.

Your Ole Smoky, an SFO for SMKW of course.

There is much speculation about this one. Supposedly it came with some anniversary type COA but the dates are all wrong for that. The most credible theory is that it was an SFO for the National Wildlife Foundation. ::shrug::

This one looks to have been made as an open stock item. Took a while to find one I could add to my pile.

Tommy, it's really hard to see. There was an extremely well done job of dying that bone.

Got these two on a recent trip to VA, an older EO jack with some blade loss and a newer Yello-Jaket congress. The EO has nice snap, no wobble and half stops and really nice jigged bone. Short line tang stamp

Thanks C

My wife bird dogged this one for me and said it was a Cattaurgus. I wasn't disappointed at all.

Lyle,

The hunt is always more fun, always. She was convinced that the knife in the store was a Cat. She doesn't know much about pocketknives but can spot good ones I guess.

Jerry thanks. You answered a question I had about the EO. I assumed the 33 was the pattern number but wasn't sure. I'd like to find one with less blade loss, both blades appear to ride high now. I could adjust the kick but prolly won't.

Nice Camillus72 (seening your name is ScoutKnife I added this bit of information. You might already have one in your collection)
They made a boy scout knife with bone handle. It has Boy Scout Whittler etched on the blade, does not have number or shield
Only one of the two knives in the picture has the etch left on the blade.

You have two, Grant? I only have one and didn't notice the etch until quite a while after I bought it.

I recently bought the interesting Camillus knife that has no number on the blade. This knife is identical to the description of the #44 from 1946-1949 catalogs, but the tang stamp has a long line ::shrug:: .
