All the usual stuff during the work day.
When I got home I grabbed the Kershaw Tanto Tone in honor of Tanto Tuesday.
And threw the Rough Rider Lady Leg in my left pocket.

I think some of you guys change knives more frequently than I change socks.

Kenny I am a big fan of the Case amber bone handles like on your trapper.

Gdogg I have a Wave too. I love Leatherman tools. Mine has saved me countless trips to the toolbox in the basement over the years.

Mitch that is one hefty knife there. You may not know this but you are partially responsible for me buying an ESEE 4 a couple of years ago. I'm not sure if it was your Afghan or another similar fixed blade that inspired me, but it gave me the nudge I needed to purchase what has turned out to be one of my top ten favorite knives.

Gino you're choices are as always, top shelf. Keep it up and you're gonna force me in to buying a Benchmade. 8)

Dave I gave my granddaughter the twin to your ladyleg knife recently. It's now part of her collection. I like that pattern. Makes a great bottle opener.

Philco, I try to change every day, sometimes twice, depending on what I need. Used to carry SAK and Kershaw Chills, but they are not my idea of pretty or unique. Life is too short, I want something that's fun to look at and interesting to show off, not plain Jane. Just my 2 pennies. Don't expect all to agree, and I don't have all the beauties like some guys have, museum show pieces and such. But love to look, keep them coming, more, more, more, and more. Yeah.

Scott, that same thought went through my head when I saw that post. ::uc:: Plus, he's a California boy.

On a whim, I clipped this one in my back pocket this morning. I don't know why because I seldom need a knife these days, much less two. I still have my Camillus 72 Frankenknife in my RFP.

8) Ha Ha, ::ds:: Had the day off and was just puttering around the house. The knife's blade length is 5", so it's not as big a knife as it looks in the photo's.

Nice Mitch.

These 2 today. Some pretty gnarly stag on the trapper for a 90s' CASE.
The little 25L had some great stag too prior to 19 years of pocket wear but I still like it. Great little lockback pattern.
Jerry

Nah, you just took it that way. I meant it would be an odd carry because you're bound by the laws, rules and regulations of the great state of Californication.

Today I put on new socks, new underwear, worked on splitting the new pile of logs, picked some new beans off the pole, new zucchini, new cucumbers, tomatoes, new birdseed in the feeder, and played with the new knife in my pocket. This Autumn Gold Bone Northfield Barlow #77 is such a beauty to behold that I like to just take it out and look at it sometimes even tough I never use it, so later today I'll replace it with another knife I will actually cut stuff with and use. But I like to look at a new knife more than once a day my friend. What's wrong with that? I know I'm an addict. I know some think I'm a whack job and other stuff. Call me any name you want because I love it. I know it's a sickness. I admit it. But I don't want to quit it. I like doing it. It's part of the core personality, genes, DNA. It's who I am. I have my reasons. I'm gonna do it. And nothing anyone says or does is going to make me stop or alter my feelings about it. Forget about it.

Nice knives!

P.S.
Were all a little sick when it comes to knives! ;)

Right on and all in good fun friends.

Here's the cut and drool club. One to cut with, one to drool on.

Both are beauties, Ivoryman...and we're all "sick" when it comes to our addiction to knives. And, although I know you and I may differ on the 'respectability' issue regarding the country of origin, just remember, it wasn't all that long ago that we all thought "Made In Japan" was a joke just like today some may feel about "Made in China." But, give it some time...and also realize that China produces some very good quality knives designed and administered by American companies (I can't and won't comment on China's record when it comes to how they treat or pay their workers...but I also understand there are cultural differences that are difficult if not impossible to reconcile.) If you insist on maintaining the very narrow-minded and ethnocentric, "Americans Are Always Right" and "The American Way is the ONLY way of Truth" perspective...which I feel is ignorant and very closed-minded...then I have nothing more to say to you other than I'm sorry for you because you are missing out on some very high quality knives.

Here are a few examples of my preferred EDCs...all made by Kershaw only one of which was made in the USA but if it wasn't so identified on the blade, I guarantee you that you wouldn't know the difference.

Hate to disagree with you ~Q~ but both of the top ones were made in the USA (marked on the handle). I don't believe I've ever seen a 1660 Leek that wasn't made in the USA.

Nope...as always, you are correct, Jerry...my bad. Nevertheless, I still stand by my point regarding country of origin.

~Q~

PS--And both of the USA made Leeks were very reasonably priced...not much more than the Chinese made model...so...go figure.

Sometimes it's hard to notice the USA on 'em ~Q~.

As for country of origin, your life, your opinion, your prerogative. ::handshake::

I respect your opinion and defend your right to express it. However, think about this...

People choose to carry or collect (or not) different companies or countries of origins for a variety of reasons. I collect and carry CASE only and only own and carry 3 Bucks that were gifts or inherited other than that. I am sure the knives made by other countries including US companies other than CASE make fine knives. I just don't collect or carry them.
Point being if a guy chooses not to buy (or to buy), collect or carry a knife from any company or country on the planet for political, personal or any other reason, that is his/her choice and I respect that. Not my place to judge their choices, in my opinion, nor should they judge mine.

Just a thought. Take care. Certainly no offense taken, just my opinion.

regards, Jerry
