Thanks, Colonel. How big is that LoomFixer? I too generally need a larger knife for gripping comfort, and I've not had my hands on one yet

They're 4 inches long, which in length is the minimum that I really like for a knife. But they're pretty thick with the swayback frame, especially if you're using the pen blade.

I fell in live with them back last year before I had my carpel tunnel surgery. I had gotten to the point that holding anything else was painful. If you like a big handful of a knife, you'll love a loomfixer.

Think I'll tote this busted up camp knife around today while I do my laundry .....

I believe it was MM that had a video on patching, as opposed to replacing, covers. Ya might wanna give that a relook, it's almost certainly within your skill set, unless ya don't have that special metric crescent wrench...

Just lazing around the house & wearing shorts with nothing in the pockets but this is on the table beside my chair. I 'coon finger' it now and then.

I'm traditionally a traditional pocketknife kinda guy, but that Griptillian looks like a fine carry. Would love to try a Sebenza for a day, too. But, some combination of what I already have will usually cut what needs cuttin'. Not implying there isn't room and reason for more, Lawd have mercy!

As stated earlier, I toted the Case loom fixer to meetin' today. But after church I had some emergency redneck engineering to do that involved sharpening my monogrammed carpenter pencil (thank you Copenhagen). The loom fixer was more than up to the task!

...wonder how many on this forum would have known that was a carpenter's pencil if you hadn't told them what it was????.................. ....................

I knew! It's not to say I was completely knifeless today with all the bother. There is plenty of sharp stuff near to hand in the computer room!
