Bob, that Ulster Boy Scout is amazing - kids use their stuff, so an old, virtually new BSA knife has got to be a pretty rare find.

Got this one in today.

...This one (USMC) was the one that I bought first. The seller sent me the US one. I emailed him about the mix up and he apologized about it and said the right one was on its way. After receiving it,I couldn't send the other back.

...I contacted him and asked if He would sale it....He gave me a really good deal.
I'm a happy camper.

Johnnie you might want to contact Case to get the lowdown on just how many variations of those were made.
The full set would make a great collection to display for sure.

Right now on eBay there is the best looking Camillus Scout that you will ever see. If I could post pictures from my iPad I would show it. Buy it Now----$215.00. I wish I had the bucks to spend right now!
On further examination, that might be a rehandle job. My reason for being suspicious is the shield. I don't know if that is tarnish or cleaning residual, or is it glue around the edges. It is still the prettiest scout knife, outside of knife nuts pearl Remington, that I have seen.

I think that seller has been peddling these reworked, rehandled scouts for about a year now.

I just look it up....it’s the same Jasper.

..I actually have Him on my saved sellers list..because of all the Scouts He posts up.
The shield is glued on.

Hey johnnie, those are really nice!

I didn't know Case made that pattern, I definitely going to keep and eye out for them.

I've read that the back springs crack often on the Camillus made ones.

Thanks Bro.

....I spotted one a few Months back on a sellers website....it had been used and the Pearl Harbor etch was wore off. I thought it was a Camillus that someone had replaced the master blade with a case scout blade.

Stopped by one of those antique-collectible places stocked by multiple small size dealers and found one booth that contained a number of new Boy Scout knives and Case knives. I got this Camillus made Official BSA Scout Knive, still in the plastic box, 1996 copyright on the paper insert. Lots more interesting knives there, will be going back over the next few weeks to cherry pick a little more.

Man, I had no idea that a late Camillus Official BSA Scout Knife was so valuable - makes the one I bought this week a real bargain!

O.H. that seems high for that knife but the Camillus scouts do sell well in mint condition. The five blade model (the one with a phillips screwdriver blade added) usually sell for more than the four blade model.
Better hustle back and buy up the rest of those you spotted.

Phil, I bought the only NIB Official BSA Scout-knife he had; the rest are BSA marked knives, but more specialized (I plan to pick up a NIB BSA Leaders knife next trip), the balance are a little Camillus BSA lock-back, a Tenderfoot, three of the Norman Rockwell Scout knives, and a blue Cub Scout by Victorinox. All of the rest are used, and pretty well used too! Believe me, if he had more I would buy them all to sell at the price I just saw (I paid a third of what that knife on e-bay went for). OH
