Daughter sent pictures of the grandsons fishing in the Gulf of America last week down in Venice, FL. They caught fish in the surf and one day they went out in the Gulf and caught some big ones. The fish are Goliath Groupers aka Jew Fish. They are protected, catch and release. Their guide said he switched to heavy hand lines when fishing for these big fish after destroying several expensive boat rods and reels. I have no idea why they are in the water with those big ol' critters?

Not to be outdone by his older cousins, youngest grandson Dawson is learning to handle their boat in the Gulf over in Carrabelle, FL, south of Tallahassee.1000004494.jpg1000004492.jpg

Awesome pictures! Maybe for scale? That gives a good perspective on how big these fish are.

You are correct. During our weekly phone call on Tuesdays, I asked my daughter why and she said it was to show the size of the fish.

These are some photos from the '90’s of the animals on my work site, we had quite the menagerie.

Well it might seem like it ,The TWRA would come in and trap deer and relocate them every 3 or 4 years to keep the herd healthy. Most of the small animals could come a go as they pleased but the deer were fenced in. The foxes had dens in a old trash dump from many, many years ago, we probably should not of done it but we'd take supper breaks and share our grub with them, as you can see they were quite healthy and very beautiful.
