Lots of gozzlings and their parents around the area this morning. Don't get too close to the babies or you'll get a good hissing . . . or worse.
That or worse part happened to my brother when we were young. Got pecked in the cheek, missed his eye.

Nice sunrise pic Floyd! This little buck came by looking for a snack or something. The birds sure don’t like his presence. And several free ranging neighborhood chickens are MIA . Our local Coyotes are getting aggressive. Might be time to thin them out a little . Trapper Dan and I may even set a short line out to get them .

I took these after the last temperature changing storm rolled through. Inspired by dog. ::tu:: We lost power for 6 hours and it brought some trees down.

I saw this doe amd liked the contrasting colors of the cut wheat field and the green of the woods, so I stopped to take a pic. She paid no heed to this old man in the truck, but stopped midstride and looked ready to bolt when something in the woods caught her attention.

A few pics from the Chippewa Flowage area . Fishing was a little tougher with the heat and wind . Fishare in there summer patterns . Spent more time relaxing and doing some cruising around checking out the 15,000 acres of water at the flowage . We could fish a different spot for many seasons . That’s part of the beauty of the flowage. Here’s a few pics . The fish on the fillet table are from last 20 minutes out on Wednesday night. Right at Sunset they really started feeding . Brother had 4 Walleyes in like 10 minutes. Timing and right spot paid off .

Daughter sent pictures of the grandsons fishing in the Gulf of America last week down in Venice, FL. They caught fish in the surf and one day they went out in the Gulf and caught some big ones. The fish are Goliath Groupers aka Jew Fish. They are protected, catch and release. Their guide said he switched to heavy hand lines when fishing for these big fish after destroying several expensive boat rods and reels. I have no idea why they are in the water with those big ol' critters? ::shrug::

Not to be outdone by his older cousins, youngest grandson Dawson is learning to handle their boat in the Gulf over in Carrabelle, FL, south of Tallahassee.
