Very nice I-man! ::tu:: Really like the sheepsfoot and wharnie, never been much of a "clip" guy though! With blades and covers like those, what's not to like! ::shrug:: Beautiful knives and teriffic shots too! 8)

Speaking of beautiful blades, that is a beauty, and one I've never seen. Cool scales, very interesting and lots to look at. Great background too, love the water, the fungus, the old log/trunk, bark. Great stuff there.

That is one of the coolest blades I"ve seen lately. The lavender stone is fabulous, the napping excellent, and the antler handle rocks it. Veeeeeeery cool.

Thank you very much Charlie. I have missed seeing Muscular Muffin. If you prefer not to include Muffin Head in your knife shots you can always throw us fans a bone from time to time by including him in the Pet thread. One way or another there is no denying that your boy has charisma which needs to be shared. :D

The lavender stone is agate. The knife was made by a Native American artist in Utah I believe. I've done some flint knapping for my flintlock rifles and I've tried my hand at a couple of arrowheads, which didn't turn out as well as I would have liked. The skill it takes to knap a blade like that is enviable. It is a very usable piece within the limits of the materials. It cuts and pierces very well but I wouldn't attempt any chopping with it. It has been a nice addition to my Buckskinning Kit on several occasions when I was still actively going to Rendezvous.

Trey thanks you for the attention and compliments. He's playing the role of foot warmer right now under my desk. The problem with including him in my knife shots is getting him to stand still long enough to snap the shot. Usually when he does appear in a shot it's just a grey and white blur streaking through the background! :lol: I'll see what I can do to get him in a shot or two. In the mean time this is my favorite pic of him to date. I call it the happy dog shot because he actually smiled for the camera! ::rotflol::

Consider it done. ::tu::

I lost my two boys, Duce and Romeo pictured below, about a month apart four years ago. About five months after they were gone I got lonely so I went to the county animal shelter looking for a dog who needed a home as much as I needed a dog. I had looked at several dogs and didn't feel like my heart was in it. Then they brought in the last of the dogs they had selected.....and Trey jumped up in my lap and adopted me right there! He was a pitiful sight when I first got him, the pic of him at the shelter is also below. The reason for me telling you all of this is there are animals out there who need a home so don't be lonely....adopt one that will love you for doing so.

WOW! I know it was awhile ago, but please accept my condolences for Duce and Romeo. Trey really needed rescuing Charlie, good on you, what a difference. I'm given serious thought to getting another family member, but Elvis is still too fresh in my mind at the moment. It feels like I'd be betraying him. I know that's not really the case but I want some more time to pass before I make that decision again. It's kindda selfish of me because I'm only thinking of avoiding the heartache again when a new member passes on, instead of thinking I'd be rescuing and loving an animal that really needs it, but we'll see how I feel after some more time passes. I sure do appreciate your suggestion just the same, thanks. 8)
