Thanks for the comments, I appreciate it. I had 6 or 7 shots that I was trying to choose from, and that "blob" was on all but 1. You were correct, Iman, it was my dog.

With all the wind and rain yesterday I barely got the Farkelhound out between downpours for a short walk and we weren't pausing to take any pics. So here's one from the archive...

Now Garry that knife is very nice, but I think it belongs down here in Texas, not in Kentucky... ::tu::

Thank you Charles and David. I do like this pattern the best of the AG Russell Texas Ranger series.

John, when I first saw your knife in that photo, I thought; wow! what a huge knife. And then, my critical thinking skills kicked in and realized the knife is sitting on a photo. ::facepalm:: If that was your intent for that visual...you did good, real good. ::tu::

A worn and rehandled Remington stockman
A worn and rehandled Remington stockman
I have rarely carried this old Remington since rehandling it, so it got a little pocket time today at church.

As far as the background, this is an old press on the front porch of my Dad's log house. Here are a couple of more views of that: in the last picture you can see his Blacksmith's shop in the background, also made of logs.

Garry! You can't possibly be considering my proposition? ::uc:: The T/P is beautiful, but it'll never be gorgeous like your model. I have no particular attachment to my knife so if you need it to complete the set or anything I'd be more than happy to "bomb" it to you. ::handshake:: 8)

Thanks John! ::handshake:: I wanted at least 1 toothpick in my collection so I bought that one from Mark(SSk), but if it's important to Garry to own the T/P model so he can complete the Texas Ranger set then I'd be happy to send it his way. I've found that now I have one in my collection it really doesn't mean much to me, as there are other models of knives I like far more to pursue. Just bein' neighborly! 8)
