Please tell us about this “eye catching” knife. That handle is so unique!

Almost, Willy. That's called a "Triple Threat." I bought it at one of those consignment places. Not only can the blades strip steel, but the jagged "teeth" are pretty d*mn sharp too. One shot with that and it's light's out, thanks for playing!

Is that a Cold Steel Bushman? I have one that I have never used. How do you like it?

Yes it is. It's a well spent 25 dollars. It works well as a large camp knife and, as you know, it can easily be attached to a longer wooden handle to form a passable machete or even a spear if you should ever need one. It sharpens easily and has held an edge well so far. The simple one piece construction makes it durable. An inexpensive and versatile camp tool. The one thing I really don't like is the hard plastic sheath. It has stood up well to everything I've put it through but the best part is if you do happen to find a way to destroy it you haven't lost much.

Thanks Charlie. Perhaps I should toss mine in the backpack. I’m not too crazy about the sheath as well. Never considered using it for a machete. But I like the idea

You're welcome Randy. I forgot to mention that the ferro rod they include works well too. The earlier models came with a canvas sheath that I like a lot better. I go on ebay every once in a while looking for an older sheath for sale or even an older Bushman with the old style sheath. I'd buy another knife just to get the sheath. Right now I have an old canvas machete sheath that I'm going to try to modify.

That's another great shot. Love the pose on the bottom photo, and the colored leaves, and that fungus at the bottom. Great shot, interesting to look for all the little details. Nice snow shot on the broken stump too. Out of the park Squach. Keep them coming, love perusing this thread for gems like these.
