All About Pocket Knives

Here is a 3 3/8" Sleeveboard pen knife with ivory handles The blades are stained but appear full and have smooth action, good snaps and no play.
Master tang is marked "Chalset/Canada" on the front and "702" on the back.
It looks to be a German made knife but is not marked Germany. The 1891 law requiring Country of Origin marking did not apply to imports into Canada.
However it does look 'old'.
Has anyone seen this marking before or have any info about "Chalset" ?

Moore Handley Hardware Co. is this obscure, Any information?

Nice knife,definitely obscure If you google it there several articles about them but I have no idea who would have manufactured their knives.

Here is a K.C. Seelbach, Germany. 2 3/4". 1925 - 1947. Also located in New York City.

I bought a large K.C. Seelbach hand vice and was doing a little research and found this knife on ebay.
Just had to have it. The blade has been worked over pretty good.
Never did find a vice. The vice was made in Germany too.

Very nice FRJ!! Wish you luck on finding the vice. The hunt is part of the fun!

Someone I know had this obscure brand and I like to find out more information, I seen the spades was registered in 1727 is that mean when they started actually making with that stamp and I know it’s one of the oldest German Knife makers to exist starting in 1600’s but anyone know when that spades logo actually started and ended so I can get a date range?
