This is what I treated myself to for my birthday yesterday while we were in Denton. Found these two in an antique shop on I35W north of Denton, TX.
A Kissing Crane Whittler from Solingen, Germany. Made in 1975 for NKC & DA as their 1st club knife. 1 of 1200 this one has serial #0697. Stag Handles, Nickel Silver Bolsters, Brass Liners. No wobble it is tight as a drum head and in excellent condition.
I’ve found 3 of these that sold in the $400 range, but this poor boy didn’t pay anywhere near that price.
This is a 2006 Schatt & Morgan Queen NKCA Railsplitter Stockman, one of 735. It has red bone handles and mirror polished stainless steel blades. The clip blade is marked "NKCA 2006 Club Knife one of 735" and "S M Titusville, PA" on the tang and "Queen Cut.co Titusville, PA" on the pile side. The other two blades are marked with the "Schatt & Morgan" signature. It is in excellent condition.
This was a very good birthday!

This isn't a knife, and wasn't necessarily a find. I was at my mom's house Saturday, and after I mowed her lawn, I went in to help her go through some stuff in the basement. We've been going through my dad's workshop area. He has a lifetime of tools, hardware, and other things down there. I have been enjoying finding things I remember my dad using when I was younger, nice memories. All of it is mine, but honestly, most of it I already have, or don't have room for at my house. In going through some cabinets, I found this little guy. It's about 6" or so. Not sure if it was part of a kit, or something that would have sat out at a hardware store. I think my dad must have got it from his dad. My grandfather used to send me Queen knives for Christmas when I was a kid, so I think that's the origin. Regardless, a nice accessory for a knife lover!

Very nice find. It is a Counter Hone advertising for Queen. Used to see these by various knife manufacturers names. They would usually set on the counter at stores, hardware stores, gun shops, anywhere someone sold knives. They were listed in many of the Dealer Catalogs. I have a couple of older Case dealer catalogs (1966 & '74) that has similar items. Most were 10 to 12 inches long and 3-1/2 inch wide. Case even had one that also held a bottle of honing oil. Served both as an advertisement and complimentary sharpening stone for customers to use while shopping, or just congregating to chew the fat on the latest politics or news. Remember, back in the day, many local hardware stores were also the social gathering place of a lot of older gentlemen to visit and shoot the bull.

I rarely find knives at garage sales, but got lucky today, found a USMC Corpsmans Bolo in a box of lawn tools for 5 bucks. The thrill of the hunt keeps me going.

No objections from me. It has an interesting tool set. And Blue Point, if I remember correctly, is a brand somehow tied to Snap-On.

Dan, you're right, Snap On and Blue Point tools merged way back to form Snap On Tools.. So, that is basically a Snap On multitool. It probably cost some mechanic $300.00 when it was new! LOL!
