Not Barnsley Brothers (wish I had one though!). I misspoke a minute ago, the state was not correct. One of them is Kansas. I got Kansas City confused with being in Kansas.

Not Simmons, Burkinshaw or Enderes.

My educated guess is this company was likely a jobber. Their stamp is on the knives but I doubt they manufactured any knives.

Not Curtin & Clark. See post above, not Missouri, my mistake. Goins’ says the company was located in Kansas and Nebraska, 1921-1928. I believe this knife and another I have with the same stamp are older than 1920’s. I have seen it reported elsewhere as being in existence as early as 1890.

I believe the knife may have been made by Phoenix Knife Company. This one is marked North American Cutlery Wichita Kansas. Wow, good one Ken.

In Brad Lockwood's book The Case Cutlery Dynasty: Tested XX he says North American Cutlery Co. in Beaver City Nebraska was the Case family's first knife venture, circa 1890. I think the two knives I referenced are strong evidence that North American Cutlery Beaver City, Neb. and North American Cutlery Wichita, Kansas were the same company. Jobbers who sold knives and contracted them to be made by other companies. Further research indicates Jean Case was the company President.
