Well, hard to beat a background like that. Cool knives too. Excellent shot and love seeing the nature shots as a rule, but that one is way up there on the cool meter. Keep those coming and love seeing stuff like that.

I like tree bark as a background, it seems to give some texture to the shot and does not scratch as stone or a rock might.

Very nice photo, Charlie. The ivy and the stump make a good frame. I like the size and shape of that blade!
It is so humid in my area that my camera lens fogs up the second I take it outdoors. Heck - so do my eyeglass lens.
