What's the skinny on that one, I-Man? Closed length? Pattern? I like it too.

Pattern # 62087 Closed: 3 3/8 long X 7/16 wide. Open: 5 3/4, main edge 2 3/4. Very slim, light, hardly notice in the pocket, but enough grip for four fingers and shape fits secure in hand. Another look.

Found these four great knives at a local store that occasionally receives estate items. I paid just a bit over $200.00 for the set. I'm a little upside down on the 25 1/2 coke bottle, but made up for it on the 6488.
All are Case XX USA -in order from top to bottom:
5 dot 62131
5 dot 6275SP
3 dot 25 1/2
3 and 5 dot 6488

Thanks Larry
I stumbled across them after looking for a holster and decided to check out their knife cases as I headed out the door. The clerk said they were what was left of the original estate consignment, so I'm wondering what I missed out on if these are the leftovers.
There's still a minty 3 dot 62033 on the shelf but they tagged it at $50.00, I might try to see if the shop will come down to book value.

Sam, take me with you next time you go shopping. You did great, can't believe the prices. Minty for that much is a great score where I come from. Hats off to you, love stuff from the '70s. Congrats.

The only problem I can see with your knives, Sam, is they are all way too nice to play with!

Anyone that wants to come with is always welcome, but it's all luck, I make no guarantees!☺
If it's allowed, I'll post the store name and address, no reason to keep it a secret. I think they have some older Schrades and Bucks as well as a well-loved Sharkstooth and a mint Case SS era utility knife (I don't have the pattern number at hand right now).
Heck, if I stumble across good knives I don't collect, I can post those if anyone is interested.

Thanks Wheeler, appreciate that. Also like that Buffalo horn, have a few pieces of it carved into figurines. But have not pulled the trigger on a knife because although pretty, seems like it would be too slick for gripping well. Maybe a safe queen wouldn't matter, but if I wanted to carry it do you feel it's good for grip, or too slick? Thanks for any insight.

It's somewhat slick but no more than some of the other nine knives. This one does not have much carving on it so it's a little slicker than some of the bone though.

The Case Barlow's with the "soup bone" handles have the look that I imagine when I think of Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn - the real deal. Nice knife ScoutKnives - be sure to post more pictures when you clean it up. As to value - the price you paid is the most recent indication of it's real value - what someone was willing to pay in that condition. No absolutes in old knives that are in less than perfect condition (all the "book" prices assume like new condition). OH
