I was expecting one package today, so naturally I was curious to see who the other was from.....Hmmmmm.....I didn't trade or buy anything from Tom Murphy? What the

I yelled INCOMING.....but twas to no avail, I was wiped out!

Tom.....I am humbled by your generosity....so, so, so, humbled.

Thank you so much for your kindness. The next "adventures" (aka missions) these knives will see new hands and knife school will be open thanks to you!

I received this package of goodies from Scott this morning. Scott had gone out pickin' on Friday and sent me a note asking if I would be interested in some ZIPPO's he had found in his travels. Of course, I said yes. I received the package today with the lighters and MORE. Since I knew it was coming we'll consider this a training-bombing, but it sure knocked me out of my socks. I got the lighters pretty well cleaned up and got them working. The rest of the stuff is so much icing on the cake that my A1C will probably be in double digits next Dr.'s appt. Thanks so much Scott. That's the only way I know to recognize this kind jesture.

I've been blown plumb out of the water! Twice in one week!

First from Orvet! He sent me a great Copenhagen sticker, AND one of those nifty dip can openers that used to hang in a tobacco shop. Dale I'm deeply grateful.

Second, arrived today. Old Hunter offered to send me a bottle of the barbecue sauce his good friend makes. I eagerly accepted. Today the box arrived! But sauce wasn't the only thing in it. In addition to a very kind letter he sent: two good little Imperials and a Hammer Brand tooth pick that my three boys scarfed up. Also, a wonderful 2 dot Case slimline trapper, AND an amazing leather butt cuff. I'm speechless. Really. Wow! Thank you so much Bruce.

T.J. I asked Google that same question and Google told me it goes on the butt stock of a long gun and usually has ammunition loops. I'm guessing that one goes on the end of the butt stock, has no ammo loops and maybe acts as an auxiliary recoil pad.

This is an example I found online.

Lol. This one is adjustable and has a soft butt pad. You put it on guns that don't have a pad for recoil control or to add length to a short stock.
