Found this yesterday in Annapolis. C.1958 WEST-CUT, Boulder, Colo. hunter. "Wood-Craft" style. 8-3/4" overall, 4-3/4" blade. Pretty, red-green-brown=gold mottled handle, possibly Bakelite.
It's hardly used and appears not resharpened. Came with a custom-made sheath that fits very well. I don't generally collect fixed blades but it was so nice it caught my eye. I posted it on the WESTERN forum too. J.O'.
Great find, Ridgegrass! Looks like new!

Nice, Ridgegrass. I wouldn't have passed that up either. I really like the looks of that handle. I'll bet the grip on that is perfect.

The grip is perfect. Really a close copy of a "WoodCraft" pattern. Levine says they weren't made long and were an econo line from WESTERN. I lke it! Thanks all. J.O'.

Dad found this old Camillus Granddaddy Barlow at a gun and knife show and I liberated it from him! This is the first one of this pattern that I’ve ever had.

Dirty shame you don't have a chunk of that beautiful old Camillus bone to put on that 72. Other than that, it appears to be in fantastic condition. Great find Phil.

Lol. I promise, it was with his consent. I bought the Barlow from him and yesterday I changed out a light fixture for them. Mom and dad can’t stand for anybody to do something for free for them so when I wouldn’t let them pay me dad insisted I take the knife.
I tell ya, it’s hard to raise good parents.

Next time just tell them it's payback for puttin' up with you when you were a kid.

If they should counter with "but we did that out of love" your immediate come back is "and I do this out of love and you can't buy love."

I’ve tried that. But dadgum they’re hard headed. I’m just thankful that trait skipped me.
