Any idea as to the purpose of the three-sided spike ??
I do not know if I can explain correctly. It's a knife that's in a toolbox of the locksmith? fitter? machinist? , I do not know the exact word for this profession. For example, the tool is used to clean drill chips from a drilled hole in metal or chips on the edges of the machine-cut metal. It can also be drawn on the metal. I could not find the name of this specific tool in English. Scraper?
This knife is from the 1960s. I have the newer version from the same company - from the 70s

Eustace might it be called a punch or scribe?

I think for cleaning out a drilled hole it would be called a 'reamer'.
Making marks or lines would be a scribe, usually a hardened tool ....

I found this Queen yesterday.... I figured she needed a good clean-up and then I could put her back on her throne...
I gotta figure out how to patch that spot under her middle pin.

Thanks,I don't know. I got it on sale from Cabela's with some reward points. I'm new and still learning about all these patterns. This place is a great place to learn.

Schrade Walden EZ Open. I am thinking 1947. It never made it into the catalogs after the sale of the company in December of 1946. Probably everything but the tang stamp was already made? ??? I am already loving this knife and it isn't here yet.

This pair of Victorinox Alox Classic SD's(?) are spending the weekend traveling to my mailbox. I wanted something with scissors that's smaller than a Leatherman Wingman.

Considered one of the little Bucks until I saw what they're getting for them, if you can find one. I like Alox so this very lightly used pair looks like they will fit the bill.

I strongly recommend the Companion--as it's the thinnest SAK ever made, but with the same tool set as the Classic. Usually the Classic and similar is what I carry when the SAK or folder on me doesn't have scissors, though I don't really like carrying the two Companions I have (one was for a tourist attraction in Germany, the other is a Westinghouse promo and I plan to get the two other blue Alox Westinghouse ad knives to make a complete set).

Giraffe bone has long been a favorite of mine. Looks like you are going to have one handsome knife.

Thanks for asking but my photog skills are lacking. It did arrive and is an alligator with near 100% blades and dense black ebony- a good one fer sure. Still a mystery transition knife but I can be good with that.

Well, I found this old Case and figured it needed a new home. Not in the best of shape but that's OK.

Gonna give GEC another shot after a few disappointing knives in a row
I just dug the blade choices on this one as well as the stag with NO shield
I’ll post pics when she gets here

Gino, I'm shocked that GPK had a Stag 48 to sell. The 48 Improved Trapper is my favorite GEC pattern. I hope it pleases you too.

Thank Jerry
Looking forward to getting her
They had about 1/2 dozen so I was able to be a bit picky and got one with pretty even handles

Just pulled the trigger for this one. A Case back pocket with 154cm steel. Almost added a Swayback as the wharncliffe blade has been really catching my attention. Looking forward to trying out the 154cm steel with the back pocket.

Doug that looks good. Be good to see pictures of the sway back when you get it. I like the wharn blades as well.
