I am starting to think someone painted a bull's-eye on my house!

I picked up the mail today and got this in a package-
I have wondered what Perry (singin46) does when he is not singing.... I guess now I know.

Perry, I am honored and humbled and extremely happy with the new 99!
It fits perfectly on the watch pocket of my jeans and it is easy to open one handed; just grab the blade and flick the knife downward and it is open! I love that feature when I am working in the shop and need a blade without using both hands. It is even easy to close with one hand.

This is the easiest opening GEC I have ever had my hands on!
It will be seeing major pocket time!

Dale, you are so deserving for what you have done around here for the last nearly 10 years or so. God has truly blessed me beyond what I could expect or even deserve. This is not really knife related but it's one terrific knife guy related.

The box showed up on my doorstep very unexpectedly. Beneath the address in bright red letters it said "Do Not Open Until Christmas". Sugar!! Waiting is not my strong suite. But I did. That box sat by my desk and dogged me every day, the live long day until this morning. I can't prove it but it may be the reason I woke up at 0400 on Christmas, like a four year old kid.

I took a picture with my phone to prove to Mike I had waited, sent it to him and tore into the box. Inside, individually wrapped in Christmas paper, were a pack of Marine Corps matches (where in the heck did he find those?) and a Marine Corps belt buckle. Does that boy know what I like or what?

I was BOMBED this morning!! All the way from Goodwater, Alabama, Royal dropped a very generous gift into my mailbox. The only thing I can say is THANK YOU VERY MUCH, you are far too kind.

Inside the padded envelope was a new, never used, ZIPPO lighter, leather ZIPPO lighter pouch with belt clip and fifteen flints (which you can never have enough of). I guess this came about from all the talk about ZIPPO lighters in another thread. Looks like I need to start a thread on Corvettes, Cadillacs and '57 T-Birds!

Never had any plans to, Jerry. Although, ZIPPOs are good for more than just lighting cigarettes, cigars and pipes. In the 60's and 70's they were used extensively for setting fire to hooches

.....t.j., just cranked 'er up and ran around the neighborhood between rainstorms(hasn't had a drop of water on it since 2004)-probably only used 2 or 3 gals. of gas!!!!............... ....................
