I need to order the 113 Ranger, and the 500 's that Buck has available in their "custom" shop.

Then a 124 Cherry wood would be the Grail knife.

I picked up this Buck Lancer 305 at a gunshow last weekend for a couple of "bucks". Why you might ask as it is missing a bolster. I called Buck customer service and told them of the damage to it and they told me to send it in and they would fix or replace it. It has the Buck date code X, which means it was made in 1990. I will be sending it in this week and see what they decide to do.

Ok, so here my two Bucks worth!
I bought the black Bucklite a few years ago, at the Vancouver Binners Market, I think. Probably paid under five dollars for it. I liked the look and solid build of it and of course I recognized the Buck name. It’s been a good little knife ad served time as my pocket carry several times over the years. Now it lives in the emergency kit in my backpack. Apparently, it’s a 2013, which surprised me as it was newer than I thought when I bought it.
The little camo Buck was today’s prize from $5 Knife Guy at the Abbotsford swap. I actually got it, a multi tool and a Bucklite identical to mine for $10. My son got the Bucklite from me. My new baby looks like a 2004, which is ok with me. It’s rock solid.
I’ve never been a fan of plastic handles but these feel good and look good and I’ll make an exception for ‘em!

Just received my Christmas present(s) to myself, a Buck 112 Slim Knife Pro in Canvas Micarta with S30V steel & deep-carry pocket clip, plus a 112 Slim Knife Select in Blue with 420HC blade and also with a deep-carry clip. The fit and finish on both of these knives is superb, and I would recommend them to anyone who asks. Both are new products from Buck and if you ask me they hit a homer. The Pro is simply beautiful, the handle is splendid, feels at home in my hand, and the S30V blade should hold an edge like few others. The Select is also a worthy knife, the nylon handle fits perfectly in my hands and it should be a handy and nearly indestructible companion for everyday carry. The Select also comes in orange, black & chartreuse handle colors. Both are one-handed opening, another big plus in my book. These are my first 112's, I considered ordering the 110 versions of these, but I already have a couple of 110's so I elected to go with the slightly smaller 112's, (and I am glad that I did). It's always a thrill to get new knives:

Why? Because they are cool, and my daughter just doesn't know how to get her dad the presents he wants, (she always gets me stuff that I "need", so I decided to get myself something that I "want").

I added a Buck 703 to my knife family. It joins a Buck 119 fixed blade as the only Buck knives that I have.
I had a 309, but sold it. I bought this one because it looks good and the price was right.

You got yourself a nice clean one, too. Those 700 canoe-style Bucks seem to be hard to come by. F&F on yours looks outstanding. I've got a much more ragged 703 and a 709 2-blade pen, perhaps the Buck USA "butterbean" of the line. Very good find!

NWNY, nice choice in a Buck Knife! You’ve got the second engineering design of that knife (with three blade springs) - good for collecting and for EDC use, not nearly as prone to breakage as the early two springs were. OH

Baykeeper, nice gifts! I’ve gotten a couple of the new LT series, but no slims yet - like everything except the pocket clip - I probably ought to get past that and give one a try. OH

My latest, a Buck 102 Woodsman - standard in every way except for the deep red phenolic handle - just wanted one (I blame eveled!). OH

Thanks OH, actually the pocket clip was the main reason I bought it, I've always wanted a Buck with a clip. Compared to other knives with clips that I have, this is the most functional and well designed pocket clip on any knife I own. It clips easily onto belt or pocket, holds it's place well and is very easy to remove, (unlike some that I have that almost rip the edge of my pocket when I try to remove it). Also being "Slim", it is very comfortable while in the pocket, hardly noticeable at all. This Slim Pro has quickly become my favorite EDC.

You might contact Copper & Clad and ask if they are considering getting any red phenolic 118s.

Jerry, C&C also has a red Micarta series that includes S30V blade steel - that is what I'd like to have in a Buck 118 (my main 100 series collecting interest). Of course I would take a red phenolic as well in the 118. Good idea, think I will email them. Did you order your knife yet? BB

There's something about the slick black phenolic paired with the shiny silver butt cap and guard with that black stripe that twists my knobs. I get the same feeling from the red phenolic. Since I've never been a fan boy for the laminate handles, red phenolic it is. Unfortunately I have to wait until December to place my order. It's a budget/credit card billing cycle issue. There's also a red handled Buck 722 Spitfire, along with a blue handled Buck 722 Spitfire hanging in the background singing a siren song and I'm hoping I can ignore them until January.

Another two weeks of waiting will also give me time to decide on whether it's to be a 102 or a 119.

I got you Jerry - I am tapped out on knives this month too (got a Case 6344 coming in the USPS from Knifeaholic right now and that is it for NOV). Have two Buck 301 Blade Forums annual club knives coming as well (early December I think), but I paid for them back in July so they will be pain free. We'll see what December holds. Love the blade shape and the handles on that one Ed - got yourself a real winner! OH

Very, very similar to the handles on this Rough Rider Mini-Trapper. The Rough Rider handles are jigged synthetic and just cooler than cougar poop.

Thanks guys. It is a close match to the look of that rough rider. The handle is jigged Buffalo horn with a wood spacer. It's W2 carbon steel. I've added a small sharpening choil, shaped to strike a ferro rod. Thumb notches. A drain hole to the sheath. Ready for some belt time.
