Just finished my western fiction, "Firestick" by William Johnstone. Now to shift over to the non-fiction, with puppy in lap!

Currently reading this from James Rollins. One of my favorites, I think he picked up where Michael Crichton left off.

Finished these in the last month or so plus wrong side of goodbye a Bosch series by M. Connelly. No photo passed on.

I finished “In Plain Sight” myself a couple weeks ago. Good read. The Mother standing by the river smiling had an interesting twist near the end. Didn’t see that one coming.

I’m just getting started on the next book by the same author, “Free Fire”.

That "interesting twist near the end. Didn't see that one coming." is a hallmark of C.J. Box mysteries. He's a master story teller.

I've read every book in CJ Box's Joe Pickett series and all were fun reads. I'm ready for his next release!

Box's characters build on the prior books, so read the books in order for maximum impact.

I am still reading through the works of John Buchan, having started with The Thirty-nine Steps and currently on Courts Of The Morning.

Buchan is considered to be the founding author of “Thrillers”.

The stories start during WWI and were written beginning at that time, as well.

His principal character in the books is Richard Hannay, a Scottish/South African veteran and a James Bond type operative.

No profanity and no gratuitous sex.

Where did the time go!

It been a long and busy 6 months, I don't know what happened to the time. It's like it just disappeared out of thin air.

It's good to be back among you guys.

I listen to this station driving to and from work, and sometimes on the weekends when I'm driving around town.

Just finished the top two working on the Hunting Badger.

I'm a Hillerman fan. I've read all his books. Even heard him speak once.

I've managed to find several books lately by John Sanford, one of my favorite authors. Got these at the flea market last Saturday along with a Camillus trapper. Read. Reading Waiting in the wings.

Been a while since anyone posted here. My grandson gave me this for Christmas. I had already read McCarthy's All The Pretty Horses several years ago but it didn't inspire me at the time to read its sequel, so I guess it's time now.

I read all three in that series and I was ok with them. When I read The Road, that one nearly did me in. McCarthy is too hard on his characters.

CJ Box books are great reads. I've read all of his books and now wait for hus next release in March 2025.

I just finished Jeff Carson's 18th David Wolf book, and that series reads similar to Box's Joe Pickett series. I can't understand why TV has not come out with a series on David Wolf.

I'll have to keep a eye out for the David Wolf series by Jeff Carson, don't believe I've ran across one of these. Thanks for the heads up.

Found this for a buck at a church store. Interesting compilation of vignettes, nicely grouped by subject like "Rally Round the Flag", stories of flag-bearers and incidents surrounding the flag, and, "Outmoded Weapons", descriptions of how the early war saw spears, shotguns, and all sorts of primitives. J.O'.

Just finished.
I do like Calvin's books.
