I agree.

Thanks for the comments, fellows.
Charlie - beautiful photo of that canoe. I am not very allergic to Poison Ivy, but if I have briar scratches on my hand then I can get it. I have just one little patch in the very corner of my back yard: I keep postponing digging it up.
Q - that is some fine stag on that knife! The moss makes a good background.

Squach you're just on a roll, ya keep knocking it out of the park. Love the pyramid shot.
Q, that's gotta be the finest looking mini T around. Wow. Great moss shot too.
Great one there too Dinadan. Like the Russlock. Those are getting some grief in another thread, but that one looks great posed there. Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice. Keep them coming everyone, love this thread.

This is from a chilly, windy walk that we tried to get in between the thunder showers and got hailed on for our troubles. It was Captain Canine's first hail, as far as I know, and I'm still trying to convince him that I wasn't throwing stuff at him!

Poor dog...I imagine he was terrified!
Nice Trapper, too. Who made it?

Trey wasn't terrified at all, surprisingly. He just kept turning around and looking at me as if to say "stop that!" The hail only lasted about 15 or 20 minutes and the hailstones were smaller than peas, then by the time we got back to the house the sun was shining. Now it's raining again.
The trapper is a Keen Kutter Transition Series dated 1992 - 2006. Of course it's a contract knife and I'm not sure who made it but if I had to make a guess I'd say Bear MGC. I have a Bear MGC trapper with oak wood scales and the two knives are an exact match except for the scales and the tang stamp.

Hey Charlie, I have the twin to your Smooth Red Bone Keen Kutter/Bear MGC Trapper.

(Not sure what size yours is, it looks like a full size 4 1/8" Trapper, but mine's actually a 3½" Mini Trapper.) I love that shield!

Mine is a full size trapper Q. Just for comparison the Bear MGC Trapper I mentioned that is an exact match is pictured below....see what you think. It's easier to see how closely they match up in hand but the pics show the similarities.

Mel, ditto what Charles said. The green tint of the wood sets off the handle perfectly.

Here's a Keen Kutter 3 1/2" mini trapper with amber bone scales. I strongly suspect that this one was also made by Bear MGC.
Another chilly walk today! I might have to go back to flannel shirts if it keeps up!

Crazy weather.

I was trying to take some knife photos when Zeus, the "real" GSP Top Dog jump up on my "work-space" so I had to settle for a different background option that worked out OK.

With a GSP it is best to let "laying dogs lay" once he gets wound up....

he is bouncing off the wall

Thanks! He is a GSP, but THE GSP of MMA fame, however, he likes to head-butt and take various other cheap shots
