It was doing something everyone else was doing, getting in the game. I'm not a salesperson.
I did the same thing with beginning dating, trying out messing around like others did while dating. I didn't lose my steady immediately, but it severed trust. I learned that time I wasn't like other guys.

I did the same thing. Started selling and buying , doing shows, had a booth in an antique mall. Found I was seleing stuff I didn't want to just to keep the dealing going. Live and learn.

ditto to both Lyle and JO - between 2017 and 2021 I sold 1,218 knives from my personal collection on AAPK, my self-maintained website, eBay and knife shows. From time to time I'll browse the folder that contains the digital images of these knives and take a sad walk down memory lane - I'm glad they all found new homes and I'm sure they are cared for but it still sucks eggs.

I'm only about a year into this hobby and I already have a few regrets.
