Knice, Charlie!
Here is a photo from my meandering around outside this afternoon.
Now that's a great tree shot with the carved face.
Squach, great one too. Color is fab.

Beautiful day for a walk today! The wind died down, mid 60s, and plenty of sunshine.
Beautiful picture!

Makes you wonder who did the carving.

Very nice photo, Charlie. Old wood does have an appeal.
Thanks for all the feedback, fellows! I think I got more positive comments about that tree photo than any other that I have ever posted. The tree is actually in my back yard, and I did the face. After watching
Game of Thrones a couple of years ago, I wanted to try carving one of those faces like the heart trees had. Mine was not too successful, but it looks better now that it has aged a couple of years. Here is another photo with a bit more context.

- Heart tree
And a mini Kukri.

- Kukri11

Looks pretty good to me, good job. And looks older to me than a couple years, serious bark growth I guess. Cool idea and execution, now it's paying off.

Muggy walk today, mid 80s, humid "thick" air, with thunderstorms threatening. Even Captain Canine was a bit subdued. The distant thunder made him wary.

The Trapper, on the other hand, looks pretty dang good. I can't quite make out the tang stamp on it.

Great photo of a GEC (I think?), though. Sooner or later, I'll have to get my paws on a GEC.

Thanks Dan. The knife is a Schrade + USA. It's the same size and shape as a 94OT gunstock trapper but it does not have a model number stamped on it.

Good eye Squach, it's a painted rock. Don't know who is doing it, but I find them all over the park and neighborhood since covid. Guess some kids who are out of school with more time on their hands. Some have messages, like "be safe" or "you got this" and some have lady bugs, fish, designs like this or whatever. It was there so I left it where I found it and took the pic.
