Fortunately in some of the still "Free States" here in the South, Like Florida, and Alabama...we can have private citizen sales of firearms at flea-markets and also at Gun Shows as long as it is a firearm from your personal collection and you don't sell them to someone underage or that wouldn't be able to buy firearms in a gun store. Also if you buy a firearm in a Gun Store, You can walk away with it the same day as long as the National Instant Criminal Background Check System is in operation.

Not a beauty, but I added another to my Camillus Pony Jack family. Got this at a trade day yesterday for cheep$. A Camillus Long Line tang stamp Camillus 21 Pony Jack with black composite handles. I believe it has been repined, but can't understand someone putting in the effort in an inexpensive knife years ago. The seller said he had it about 6 or 8 years and it was that way when he got it. It has an exposed pin in the front bolster. Both blades have wear, had some surface rust on the blades & in the wells but have awesome snap with very positive half-stops. It needed some cleaning, and had several years of pocket lint packed in the blade wells. But here it is after the warm mineral oil spa treatment, & flush, with some steel wool thrown in for good measure.

Smitty, I'm glad to see you didn't pass that one up. Black synthetic handles, long line tang stamp, probably from sometime in the late middle '50s to the mid '60s. Dating a Camillus is always a guessing game and a crap shoot.

Appreciate it Jerry. Nope, wasn't going to pass it up. I am the same way about Pony Jack & their clones about the same as I am about Mini-T's, 72's & their clones, Craftsman's and Spear Point Russlocks.

I headed back up to the local antique shop and got one more. This is a North Star Blade Collector's knife from 2114 made by Great Eastern. I have one in my club knife collection but this was just too nice to leave there for $43 and I'm using it as a rotating Sunday go to meeting knife.____Dave

Here are the knives that followed me home from Webster yesterday:
022.JPG
The Uncle Henry 897 has not been sharpened, (just opposite the one the I got in the mail with 2 chipped blades and the Queen #26 has real Winterbottom handles ('61-'71 no stamp). Also the Power Craft 84-11 is solid, the rest are pretty well used up but some brands & patterns I haven't come across before. There is a Remington R1061, an A W Wadsworth & Son barlow from Germany, the bolsters are stamped XLNT. I really like the Robison, it has a small chip in the pile side scale. The dark colored wood handled equal end is stamped Crown----? New York. The lighter colored wood handle equal end has no visible marks, has one back spring and appears to have been apart. The straight razor is a marked C. FRIEDR. ERN, got it for a friend who collects razors.
