Some great finds, Smitty. The Camillus marlin spike knife brought back some memories of my Navy days. I used one of those for years during my tenure. Very sturdy knife and easy to take care of.

Last ones...
* 1989 Buck 110 in NM-M condition. Still has factory edge. Does not appear to have ever been used. Sheath is NM, but don't know if it's original to Buck. I do like the eagle catching the fish logo though.
* Lakota Pheonix 274 MOKI lock back w/Rosewood handles. Unk year. Previous owner ground the edge down...now it looks more like a wharncliffe blade.

I don't believe he knew what he was doing. Nevertheless, this knife still has a lot of life left in it. Had I known what the original blade was supposed to be like, I would not have picked this knife up with the blade the way it is.

Picked these up today at the Knife Show in Boaz Alabama.
1971 Case 6143 Redbone Big Daddy Barlow. Gator Snap blade, no wobble, no cracks in the handle and awesome color on the scales.

A Kutmaster two blade swell center Whittler. Bone handles have a deep cola color. Like new with awesome walk and talk. It has the letter "V" below the tang stamp indicating Vanadium steel blades.

A Royal Brand Utility Scout Knife, single blade, with two tools and a Compass in the handle. The handles are a black composite similar to the same material Case used in their rough black composite. Royal Brands sold knives from around 1917 until 1954. They didn't produce their own knifes, but outsourced from other Knife Makers, and also imported from Germany.

Lastly, I picked this knife up earlier in the week. An addition to my Camillus Rope Knife Family. It's a Camillus 697 Marlin Spike Knife. Great snap on blade and spike, no wobbles, and spike lock locks tight. Had to do a little cleaning on it as it was fairly nasty inside. Here's how it looks now.

KLJ77: Here's an old UNION "OLCUT" knife with a handle like yours. This one has a brass spanner nut recessed in the pommel to tighten the handle on the stick tang. I've seen them punched to "set" them in place. Hope this helps. Good luck. J.O'.

KLJ77: Just went back with my glasses ON and noticed your handle is pinned. Maybe my former post won't help. Sorry.

Thanks Floyd, J.O., & Smitty...I appreciate the comments.
Yeah J.O., I have to look closer on the pommel for a pin to knock out. It's all trial & error for me. (probably more error

) Thanks for your input and desire to assist with my issue.

As a side note: I over-paid on this knife. I don't carry a 'smart' phone, so couldn't look it up. Then, when I see that Mr. Kennedy or Mr. Sanders had the same exact knife, brand new, in the box with papers...well, let's just say.

Was out and about yesterday and stopped at a couple Antique / Consignment shops. Found this one and decided to add it to my Craftsman family. A Craftsman 9540 Barlow. Delrin handles have a little wear, and the pile side has some spots of some kind of adhesive. The blades still have the original factory grind finish and luster, but it did have some rust on the blades in places. The blades look full, with little wear or sharpening abuse. They have great snap, but the primary clip blade does have a very slight side to side wobble. I gave it the spa treatment, carbon / eraser rub on rust spots and went over the blades with some Flitz. I think it turned out well and will make a good Craftsman EDC rotation.

Great haul Scott but look out for that Vic Gardner. They don't get too much $ (I bought some, new, for less than $10 each) but they come so sharp, they'll cut you just looking at them. The 22LR1 Camillus looks to be in great condition. So that Springfield. You can just buy 'em and haul 'em home the same day in Florida?
