No, I wish I could take credit.....it was made by a guy named Bo Earls in Utah. I started knapping flint for my muzzle loaders years ago and I've turned out some respectable arrowheads but I haven't tried my hand at a stone knife yet. Hoping that once I retire I'll have time to do some things like that.

Depends on who you ask! I've been around long enough to gather a little dust......and a few chips around the edges.

That Bark River pattern, as I understand it, is a blade style usually used for folding knives. Bark River decided to use it on a small field knife - 7 3/4" OAL. I'm told that it's one of their earlier patterns as well. The Schrade 152 pattern now has some competition in the small fixed blade section of my collection!

Sasquach, that's some of the best looking micarta grain pattern I've seen on the B River. Nice blade too, but what is the small black bump sticking out the butt end? Pommel?

It's not actually black Ivoryman. It's a polished hex nut on the end of the tang holding the handle together. It looks black because it's reflecting the color of the cloth under it. Both of the Journeyman Knives I've posted have the same feature. I guess Bark River likes doing it that way on a round tang.

Glad to see other Old Hickory fans out there, excellent knives. That Bark River is !!!

It is kinda' unique. Gives the knife an unusual look.

just noticed your question about Moose Antler from several pages back. From my limited experience it's more dense than Elk, no porous sponge like, semi-hollow interior. More colorful, some grey blue speckles and splotches inside, more heavy than any kind of deer I've worked with. Great stuff, but harder to come by than deer and elk.

Not sure what you are referring to. The two knives pictured are both Case V-42 stilettos.One is a 1992 reproduction I bought new when they first came out and the other is an original blade;guard;and pommel nut sans the leather handle. I bought it with an ugly plastic handle on it and made my own ugly plastic handle until I can find the proper leather washers to restore it.

Yes, that's the knife I'm referring to. Check out the eBay listing description I posted the link for above. The seller actually provided some useful information about this variation.

Received this one from a forum member last week. I like it very much. There is other bling that goes with it. The Trail of Tears, commemorating the forced death march of the Cherokees from their homeland to the reservation in Oklahoma. Chris Tucker of Great Eastern Cutlery emailed me and said that they made them. "Yes, we made the Trail of Tears 9 1/2" fixed blade knife with Old Smooth White Bone handles for Southern Winds in 2007 and 2008." This one is serial #418. 1080 steel.

That's a fine lookin' knife TR!!!! Made by GEC too!!! Very nice indeed!!
