All About Pocket Knives

A couple days ago "THE PACKAGE" arrived in my mailbox. Fortunately, my mail box is about a block from the house, so I forgot about the incoming poo bomb. That evening, we went out for dinner with my stepson and his wife. On the way home
I stopped at the mailbox and picked up the mail...
Jeremy commented that I had a large heavy box. He asked if it was knives. I said, " I hope it is knives," all the while fearing its possible contents.
Both Jeremy and his wife were intrigued when I explained the concept of the POS exchange. They didn't grasp the danger that was inherent with the initial opening of any POS box. As excited as school children
They encouraged me to "open the box, open the box!" In spite of my stern warnings they were gathered around the box, which was lying on the kitchen counter.
I looked at the shipping label and saw that the box weighed 8.46 lbs. I was hoping it wasn't too vile, as my plumbing would never handle that much poo.

So I opened the box, and this is what this saw.... 8.4 lbs of cutlery, carefully packed. I was struggling to find the poo!
Though yet what do I find,
but a poem, dare Icall it a rhyme?
A rhyme for all of AAPK,
About how to give poo away.

So much for my feeble efforts, here is the Poo Poem

I will split this up into multiple posts because there are numerous pictures. I believe it was the heaviest POS box I have received, and I think I have been in every POS exchange since they started!

My box of poo from Reverand arrived today. The people on AAPK who get involved with the POS exchange are getting more generous every year.
The top row is the excrement.
The bottom row is the cream of the crop. A peasant knife from New Zealand, a mini trapper by Bear & son, a Venture single blade marked
H. M. Slater Sheffield that I really like. Also an unused Providence cutlery jack.

So glad you and your family enjoyed this year's POS. It was my honor and pleasure to put the box together for you.

Just received my box of refuse from Toylvr (Mike Adam’s). I have to admit it’s rank but not as much as it could be. A couple Chinese folders I’ll give to nephews. An almost used up Camco Barlow. A new Remington Barlow. And the best one to me a Russian style RPK with filework and a Damascus blade. Well played Mike and thank you. The first of hopefully many POS exchanges for me. It was fun!

I do hope you liked this crap Since you like slipjoints, I was hoping that the Remington Barlow would be a winner for you, but the “RPK” is an interesting piece too.After seeing some of the volume that the other guys are sending out, I think I’m going to have to up my game a bit next year!

I don’t have a dog in the fight this year but it sure seems like everybody talks a bigger poo game than the knives I’m seeing. A broken blade and chipped covers are simply battle scars, not like the rusted poo of years past. I guess one man’s poo is another man’s knife - I’m still looking - “Show Me The Poo People”

Mike (Toylvr) all good my man. I honestly didn’t know what to expect and I’m not disappointed at all. On to the next one.

Well the "package" arrived today. Getting to dark for pictures and I am a little light headed after opening the "package ". Let's just say GringoBombero knows how to play the game. I'll try to get photos tomorrow, if there is a tomorrow after this exposure.

Yeah sorry to do that to you doglegg. After seeing the other hauls, I think it's safe to say you got poop end of the stick, er I mean box, this year. I'd say you're currently in first place for worst load. But there are plenty more contestants to go, so maybe you'll lose the throne eventually.

Here is my "pile" I got from Olde Cutler.
A nice rehandled fish knife and the coolest knife pick that I've ever seen. Right above the pocket watch.
Also a very small tool kit
