Today this knife joins my collection. An ALLEN CUTLERY CO., NEWBURGH N.Y. (1917-1925), single blade pocket knife. It has two stamps. One on the handle, the other is on the tang. It needed a good cleaning. I cleaned it, took some pictures and here it is.

The first three pictures below are of three pages from a NAPANOCH catalog. The nine pocket knives featured on the three pages are ULERY pocket knives. This is the description of ULERY that is in Goins. "ULERY NEW YORK USA. This marking was seen on an all-metal knife made on the Allen Cutlery Company patent. It was made by the Napanoch Knife Company about 1917-1919." I'm posting these because these nine ULERY pocket knives are the closest relatives to ALLEN CUTLERY COMPANY, NEWBURGH N.Y. pocket knives. I only have one ULERY pocket knife, the U11. It's the middle pocket knife in the third picture. You can see it on page #6 or click here.

Today these two items join my collection. The first item is an ALLEN CUTLERY CO., NEWBURGH N.Y. (1917-1925), single blade pocket knife. It has two stamps. One stamp is on the handle, the other stamp is on the tang. I cleaned it a little, took some pictures and here it is.
The second item, another of my "GRAIL" items, is an ALLEN CUTLERY COMPANY pocket knife box. It is in very good condition. I took a couple of pictures and here it is.
***** A VERY VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU goes out to Scott, aka knifegnome, for selling me these two items. THANK YOU Scott. *****

Yesterday I added this pocket knife to my collection. Another ALLEN CUTLERY CO., NEWBURGH N.Y. (1917-1925), single blade pocket knife. It measures 3 1/8" closed. It is the "01" pattern. The box for this particular pattern is 3 posts above this post. It has two stamps. One stamp is on the handle, the other stamp is on the tang. It didn't need much cleaning at all. I took some pictures and here it is.

This pocket knife sold last night. By time I found it, it was too late for me to bid on it.
Oh well, can't win them all. The pictures are the seller's, slightly edited by me.

Well, after letting the last two available "ALLEN" pocket knives slip by me (see my previous posts), I decided that I was not going to let a third opportunity go to waste and I didn't. Today I'm adding this ALLEN - CUTLERY CO - NEWBURGH,N.Y. (1917-1925), single blade, double stamped (handle & tang) pocket knife to my collection. Certainly not the prettiest "ALLEN" in my collection, but I didn't buy it for it's looks. I gave it a cleaning, took some pictures and here it is.

Well I'm back on track and today I'm adding this pocket knife to my collection. It is an ALLEN CUTLERY CO - NEWBURGH N.Y. (1917-1925), 2 blade pocket knife. The "maker" stamp is in the middle of the handle. Neither tang is stamped and there is no patent stamp. It needed a good cleaning and it received a good cleaning. The dark blotches on the handle are the remains of the coating that was applied to the handle by the factory. I took some pictures and here it is.

Yesterday, this EAGLE KNIFE COMPANY (1916-1919) pocket knife joined my collection. It is a "cousin" of ALLEN CUTLERY CO and GEO SCHRADE. It's a single blade, all metal pocket knife. I cleaned it, took some pictures and here it is.

Yesterday, I added this pocket knife from EAGLE KNIFE COMPANY (1916-1919), to my collection. It is a "cousin" of the ALLEN CUTLERY COMPANY, NEWBURGH, N.Y. and the GEO. SCHRADE KNIFE CO., INC. It is a single blade, all metal, pocket knife. It measures 2 7/8" closed. It needed absolutely no cleaning. It appears to have never been used. Took some pictures and here it is.

Very recently, I added this pocket knife to my collection. It's an ALLEN CUTLERY COMPANY, NEWBURGH N.Y. (1917-1925), single blade, hawkbill pruner or pattern No. 30, pocket knife. The maker stamp and the patent stamp are both on the handle. There is no stamp on the blade tang. It needed a little cleaning. Some of the factory applied handle oxidation remains. I took some pictures and here it is.

Very recently, I received my first and only (so far), "Say-It-With-Flowers", single blade, all metal pocket knife. It measures 3 1/8" closed. The tang stamp is almost nonexistent. The last line says "STAINLESS" and just above the "STA", it looks like it says "B PO." So, I'm 99.999% positive that this is a GEO SCHRADE pocket knife. This knife style/pattern is a "cousin" of the ALLEN CUTLERY COMPANY, NEWBURGH, N.Y. and also a "cousin" of the EAGLE KNIFE COMPANY. I took some pictures and here it is.

I completely forgot about the auction for this pocket knife and it got away.
It is NOT an ALLEN CUTLERY COMPANY pocket knife, it is one of the "cousins."
I'm posting this for posterity, for future reference. The picture is the seller's
and has NOT been edited or altered, by me, in any fashion.

My most recent addition to my collection is this all metal pocket knife. While it is NOT actually an ALLEN CUTLERY COMPANY pocket knife, it is a "cousin." It fits right in with the other "cousins" with a similar handle style, such as EAGLE KNIFE CO., the GEO. SCHRADE, IMPERIAL and BOKER Scout utensil kit knives, etc, etc. It's a "MADE IN USA", 1 blade, 3 1/8" closed, pocket knife. It still has the majority of the factory applied, greenish colored coating on the handle. I only cleaned the blade, took some pictures and here it is.

The LAST two pictures are of this pocket knife's red handled brothers.
They are also posted elsewhere in this topic/thread, starting on page 2.
