All About Pocket Knives

Ike: It was. There's a similar one pictured in Levine's 3rd edition, p.275. The handles were "chased" with an airplane on one side and the three Axis leaders on the other. Cheaply made but very unique. Always kicked myself for trading it. That museum guy really wanted it. Hope it's on display somewhere. O'.

Recently, this souvenir or tourist pocket knife arrived and it now becomes the latest example to join this topic or thread and to be added to my general pocket knife collection. It was in a very large group or lot of pocket knives that I bought. However, I did not buy the group or lot to obtain this particular pocket knife. But, as it turns out, it is a keeper. It is a U.S.A., one blade, one tang stamp, 3 1/2" closed, souvenir or tourist pocket knife. The main blade front tang stamp says "U.S.A." The main handle side says "Dodgers - LOS ANGELES DODGERS" and "1981 - LOS ANGELES DODGERS - WORLD SERIES CHAMPS" The other handle side says nothing, it is blank. Overall, this pocket knife is in VERY GOOD condition. It did NOT need any cleaning at all. I took some pictures and here it is.

Hannover Rathaus on a Victorinox Companion.

I believe this is what is referred to, the current town hall built in 1913.

That is a nice piece, Skip. I have never seen one of those before, that would be an interesting collection to put together.

The main handle side says "ELVIS PRESLEY - King of Rock 'n' Roll - 1935 1977" It also has a head or facial image of Elvis. The other handle side says nothing, it is blank. Overall, this pocket knife is in EXCELLENT condition. It did NOT need any cleaning. I just wiped it off. I took some pictures and here it is.

Yesterday afternoon, this souvenir or tourist pocket knife arrived and it now becomes my latest example to be posted under this topic or thread. It will also join my general pocket knife collection. It was in a group or lot of pocket knives that I purchased. However, I did not purchase the group or lot to obtain this particular pocket knife. It is a COLONIAL, two blades, two tang stamps, 2" closed (not including the loop or ring), tip bolsters, souvenir or tourist, pocket knife. The main blade front tang stamp says "COLONIAL (over) PROV. R.I." The secondary blade front tang stamp says "U.S.A." The main handle side says "SHENANDOAH NATIONAL PARK - SKYLINE DRIVE VA." Overall, this pocket knife is in VERY GOOD condition. It did NOT need any cleaning at all. I took some pictures and here it is.

Very recently, this souvenir or tourist pocket knife arrived and it now becomes my latest example to be posted under this topic or thread. It will also be added to my general pocket knife collection. It came in a group or lot of pocket knives that I bought. But, I did NOT buy the group or lot of pocket knives to obtain this particular pocket knife. It is an UNBRANDED, one blade, 2 3/4" closed (not including the loop or ring), tip bolsters, souvenir or tourist, pocket knife. There is no tang stamp(s), no blade etch(s) or maker markings of any kind. But going by the pins or rivets, I'm 99.999% sure that this pocket knife was made by COLONIAL. The shield says "FARMERS MUSEUM, N.Y." Overall, this pocket knife is in NEAR MINT condition. It definitely did NOT need any cleaning at all. I took some pictures and here it is.

I got this when I was 5 or 6 circa 1976 or 7 -- my FIRST pocket knife -- from the Alligator Farm in Hot Springs, AR. I was with my grandparents, and upon returning home to central IL, my dad secretly took it away -- while I spent MONTHS crying over loosing it. Sometime in the early 2000's, it was returned to me -- GREAT. But Dad EDC'd the knife and did not preserve it for me --

Good news is I posted this knife in the "other US knives" forum and got good info on the make, which I never knew (hard to read stamping from company I'm not familiar with). It's an IDEAL, made in USA.

The main blade front tang stamp says " The Ideal (over) U.S.A." The main handle side says "Frankenmuth, Mich." Overall, this pocket knife is in EXCELLENT condition. It did NOT need any cleaning at all. I took some pictures and here it is.
